  1. That would be awesome sauce. I'm trying to think of our best transfer window ever. Actually, my memory is shot to s*** and i can't even remember who we signed last time round. If we get Debuchy, Mbiwa and these three it must be up there like. Yes it would be quite a spectactular haul for a January window, 3 current french internationals don't sign for teams struggling at the bottom of the PL very often all in one go.

If all these signings are finalised, there is absolutely no way in hell that even a semi competent manager shouldn't keep our heads above water, however I'm not sure Pards is even semi competent at this stage.
  4. Until we find out what these "Personal Reasons" are, I don't support this at all, for all we know these personal reasons may be that he just wants to play for his favourite Argentine team or something. If he wants sympathy from the fans I think we need a little more information than is available, 10 million and a vital component of are squad is a lot for us to give up. As I've said before if his "personal reasons" are strong enough, he always has the option to retire from football and return home at any point he chooses.
  5. Talking of old blokes at SJP. Don't suppose anyone remembers the old bastard that used to stand outside the Gallowgate end handing out NF flyers back in the 80's, I used to give that old twat some stick as a youth. Amazing the police allowed it.
  6. I said 9th, with Par dew in charge no way we finish above 19th now

Why not? A young and hungry manager is exactly what we need, preferably someone with a point to prove. Hardly set the world alight at WBA. Fan favourite at Chelsea. Comes across as rather arrogant without any sustained period of successful management to back it up. Think we have to understand that we don't need a long term solution here , a new manager will give a the team a lift and that should be enough to secure our place status, after that we can think of the future.

Nobody better than the manager who is breaking club records for how bad he's doing? Yep. WAT I think we could get worse and it would probably happen. Worse than the worst ever points haul at this point in pl history for the club, worse than 2 wins in goodness knows how many games ? Seriously it can't get any worse than right now. The squad we have should not be getting the results it is getting the way the manager lost us the last game should be evidence enough to show he is simply not up to the job. But if you want further proof look at his last season at west ham, the man will get us relegated, the only possible way we survive is if we make a change, any change. A half competent manager will have no problem securing enough points with the players we have. Again, I can see us getting in worse. That isn't saying Pardew is doing well, it's saying I have absolutely no faith that the board will get a quality manager in and I think 'anyone would be better' is complete nonsense. Seriously man, we can't get worse our form is as low as any football club could possibly be how can we get lower than that we lost to Reading at home, no one has this year, no one

Carver is not a football manager, and tarred with the stain of the current regime. We new a break.

At this point I really don't think it matters because barring a JFK type of appointment anyone reasonable would be able to save us with the players we have. We just need a change right now.

Absolutely but the only man who can make that decision doesn't think like normal folk.

Just about to say that, for those that leave I would have zero resentment towards them, unlike the last time with Messrs Given, Bassong, duff and ilk. HBA, Cabaye, Krul et al are way too good to be playing the likes of scunthorpe united week in week out. Debuchy, Taylor, willo, perch, rTaylor, bigi, Harper, shola, the obvious ones will stay, Jonas too unless someone is stupid enough to buy him from us. We will have no problem selling the bulk of the squad, because it is too good to be in a relegation battle, which we will lose, all thanks to our incompetent manager.

I'm sure Allardyce was sacked when one fan was seen on tele telling him he didn't know what he was doing, today thousands told Pardew the same thing. I live in hope. Not his man though, Par dew very much is.

I don't think he will unless he pisses Ashley off with some remark to the press but he's too much of a self peservationist to do that

We are stuck with him unfortunately I just can envisage a situation that would see Ashley sack him. He's not going to do it despite all our angst. In fact I think Ashley is so fucking stubborn that the more vocal the fans get the more he'll dig his heals in, he's already proved that he doesn't give a damn what the fans think. That's why I just don't see how we will not be relegated because this man has lost it, lost the players and of course the fans too. Hopelessly out of his depth in a relegation fight as he proved at west ham.

  18. Who is the newcastle fan who texts that criticism if pardew is harsh because of injuries and no strikers posted on the bbc match day thread. Ian ?

Yes that's excellent, very well written, I'm sure one or two of the players will have seen that and perhaps the manager himself nufc.com is pretty well read from what I understand.
  23. I'm not convinced Pards sees CB the way we see it tbh, and doubt we'll see any first teamer brought in this window. I think he see Williamson as a PL quality footballer, which sounds ridiculous I know but think he feels we have enough with him and Taylor, assuming Colo stays.
  24. That list is depressing Sad but true. That is a real eye opener
  25. To end our trophy drought, for me it's been a lifetime, I was one month old when the fairs cup was paraded around the city, I don't remember that day to vividly. It's criminal that a club with the support and tradition that we have, have had to wait so long and put up with so much in the mean time. I want to feel that joy of success we tasted during KKs time and to a lesser extent Bobby's time, but I want it to be capped with something physical to show for our efforts.
