  1. Poor effort today really. Don't care who we were playing. Great season and extremely proud of the lads, just came up short at the end for cl, even if spuds lose we still need a huge slice of luck on the last game.
  2. Fuck. Way too fucking negative for most game. Cabaye losing ball in the middle, terrible.
  3. I think we've missed a golden opportunity here way too negative
  4. Dunno about it being pratically great. It's been a preety awful game thus far, but it's got passion and the nerves are jangling. We need a win though, draw won't be enough for cl.

    sunderland

Just read a few threads on that awful board of theirs. They really have an unrational hatred of Pards don't they. It's like it's FACT for them that he's some kind of arrogant bellend. The one thing that has struck me the most about his after match comments is how humble he has come over, even in victory. I often contrast his comments with that of his opponent and it's been chalk and cheese. Taking the Stoke win, first thing he says is what a good side Stoke are, then praises his team for their efforts, Pulis tells the press that we scored three bad goals, didn't have any other chances apart from the offside Cisse gaol and Walters should have scored a hatrick. After the Wigan game, Pards, tells the reporter how Wigan were fantastic and probably the best team we've played, then talks about how flat we were. Last night tells the press how this is such a difficult place to get a result and he's proud to get his first win there as a professional, Di Matteo says Cisse did not mean his goal. I don't know, I just don't see where they get this from. Obviously linked to the altercation ion the touchline with O'Neill. Something which he openly admited to being disappointed with his own behaviour, to the press after the game, I don't recall O'neill saying the same thing.
  6. I have this PVR'd thank god I was able to talk my 8 year old through the recording process this morning, as I forgot to set the PVR myself, might have to stop off at the store on my way home to buy her a gift Fabulous result, sullied only by spuds winning, damn this goal difference and us not turning up till half time at Wigwam.
  7. Need a win. Loser out of contention for 4th imo. Draw hands iniative firmly to spuds.
  8. Hehe, that is a crazy sub. He's the one player looking to hurt them.
  9. How the fuck to you go to a place like Wigan in the position we are in and just not turn up !!!!!
  10. Nearly 3 there, look awful in defence today for whatever reason
  11. Not watching this but I think I would feel more confident of Real beating Chelsea than Bayern, so rooting for the special one.

    Alan Pardew

Pardew has done an absolute phenomenal job this season. It shouldn't be underestimated. Yes at times we've disagreed with some of the decisions he's made. For me the biggest was leaving HBA out of the team for so much of the season. But the man has got the results on a consistent basis all season long. Whatever happens over the last few games, he should be the Manager of the year, if he was at a London club I'm sure he would be anointed already. Thank god that this is only really his first season back in the prem after a sketchy career at other clubs, because right now, I have no doubt that he's the best English manager out there and England have an opening at the moment. I laugh when other fans call us two faced for liking Pards now when well all hated him when he was appointed. It would have been two faced had we all said we loved the appointment at the time, we didn't, no one thought he was going to be an upgrade on Houghton, but he's proved us all wrong and won everyone over. TBH I wouldn't want anyone else managing our club right now. Thanks Pards for a truely amazing season.
  13. Sorry didn't get to this thread until late. But did anyone remark on the fact that every single nomination for both awards is a player who plays for a London or Manchester club. Think it says a lot about the players in the PL not particuarly taking notice of anything outside those two cities. They also really should do these polls a lot later in the season, it's really on half a season that these players are being judged on.
  14. Nice but we have to face 3 of that top 5, along with Chelsea in our remaining games.
  15. I don't fancy them at all, they have been so bad this season, I'm not sure they have enough quality to get back up anytime soon. There's a big rebuild programme needed there and it starts with finding a manager who's willing to take over, until the do that they are screwed. No there isn't. There finances are pretty sound and they've barely a few saleable assets. Get a new manager who'll be far easier to attract now they're down and they'll be fine. It's not about finances it's about players, they don't have them and they'll lose their better players (and they are not that great) in Jarvis and Kightly, to newly promoted or the likes of Wigan, Sunderland et al.
