Got to say to those that mocked the appointment of O'Neill, I said so at the time but you are freaking moronic, he's done a great job on them as anyone who looked at his record could see he would. Long term there are doubts about his ability to push on from a decent base and his transfer record is very patchy at best but the guy knows how to get the best out of teams he works with. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they were "top dawgs" again this year, despite our win today our general form lately has been pretty poor, ever since the Manure victory really. 9 points is a bit of a cushion but we have to watch our backs.

Just doesn't add up at all, if it's a straight minimum release clause of less than 7million then Ba would have been talking to practically every club in the PL on Jan 1st. Sounding more like it's a condition based clause, either relegation or performance related. Damn 5million or whatever Redknapp reckons it is is chicken feed for almost everyone in the PL.

I believe he has a clause, remember when he signed he had more than one suitor and he put a pretty good clause in his west ham deal. But I don't believe it is £10m more like double that.

Ben arfa's performance against Liveropool for me was a direct consquence of Pards refusing to give him a start despite scoring the all importnat first goal at Bolton, he'd done enough to warrant a start. I think the longer this goes on the less enthusiasm we'll see out of the lad. TBH I don't blame him, how anyone can say Raylor is a better winger than HBA is beyond me, even if HBA is a number 10. Pardew has gone along way down in my estimation with his treatment of HBA and the faith he's shown in Raylor.

Best has done nothing for a long time now, personally I don't think either should be starting we should be playing our most creative front guy just behind Ba. But Pards refuses to start him for some reason.

TBF we are playing the champions at a time when we can't seem to get any form going, after watching the Liverpool game there's really not a lot to be optimistic about, we were awful and Manure are a way better team than Liverpool.

Just finished watching the Bolton game for the first time. Got to say Leon was downright terrible, worried as hell for ACN if we are relying on him to lead the line. I don't recall one single thing in the game that he did right. How he's keeping HBA out of the starting line up is a mystery to me.
