The lack of investment is really starting to show now this season. We get tonked by one promoted team, can't score against another at home, now losing to a poor Brom team, these are games we have to win to stay in this division, right now we are up there with the worst, for form in the league. Did we flatter to decieve early on this season and is this our true level or are we just in a bad patch ? Pardew needs to sort it out fast and he can start by not leaving one of his best players on the bloody bench every week.

We'll be lucky to finish in the top half of the table at this rate !! The wheels have totally come off. How many points do we need for safety ?
-
We simply can not afford tio drop points like this, Swansea are crap we are at home.
-
Ben Arfa must be absolutely sick of this, crazy
-
Swansea more likely now
-
Stoke in front now, we really need to win this
-
This one has 0-0 written all over it.

Wow, were fuked. Totally, no CBs for next week then
-
HBA was playing off the front man, not out wide, Obertan was on the right.

He must look absolutely terrible in training if he can't oust raylor from the team. Pads doesn't seem to have any faith whatsoever in the guy.

Raylor is costing us on a weekly basis now. It was never gonna last, and wards really needs to make the change, for Raylor's own sake he's going to become a figure of hate soon.

I'm a huge Stereophonics fan, this is great, very moving.

You've got to remember we are talking about Sunderland here. Sunderland who a 16th in the table, who've rarely been in the top since their return to the top flight. All the points that Brummie has made and all the other Villa fans are valid and if he was managing a club that is looking to push on, should draw warning flags. But he's not it's Sunderland, success to them should be mid table. Even if he's not given a penny to spend he'll improve that crock of crap, he's done that on small budgets at places other than Villa. Villa do and should have way bigger expectations to Sunderland, despite what some of their retarded fans think really repeating the 10th place finish they had last year should be regarded as a success. O'neill will deliver that, I can't see them heading for the championship under him which was the direction they were travelling.

I hope none of the Sports Direct Arena nonsense deflects from the tributes that will be paid to Speedo, now's not the time to protest about a name change, the pre game should be all about Speedo and what a wonderful servant he was for this club.

The thing is the villa fann says all this but his club still finished 6th 3 years on the bounce, I would take that as a NUFC fan, for a Mackem it would be progress beyond anything they could dream of.
-
So he picked the same 11 every week, yet dropped players for no reason, how's that possible ??

Might be a generation thing, but it was everywhere when I was growing up, I was a Jesmond/Gosforth lad when I moved to the Burradon area, and I could barely understand a word other kids were saying to me when I first moved there, marra was used a lot back them in the late 70's early 80's.

It's used a lot by Geordies too, or least was when I lived there.

Fair play he won 2 league cups with Leicester in the days it was a joke of a competition, but has he won owt since? Same timeframe when we had a team full of stars but couldn't win that cup. He also established Leicester in the top flight, they were a yo yo club at best before he came along. The job he did a Leicester was pretty remarkable tbh, and he did it all on a shoestring budget.
-
He didn't need money at Leicester or Wycome and for that matter Celtic. The only job where he's had real money to spend is Villa. Maybe he's better when he doesn't have a wad to spend. I think there's a lot of wishful thinking here, this is a bloody good appointment by them and something of a coup for a team of Sunderland's standing, he's a huge improvement on Bruce, and turned Villa round pretty quick, working with a similar group of run of the mill players.

Hoping for a few other PL teams to follow the Mackems lead and let their guy in charge go, so there are more options available to potential employers. Despite Brummie's misgivings, there is no doubt in my mind that MON will improve fortunes at Sunderland beyond mesure, just look at his record, even if you discount the Celtic SPL stuff. He won 2 league cups with Leicester bloody City (worth noting he had no money then) and consolidated that small club in the top half of the prem, at Celtic he reached the UEFA cup final, 3 6th place finishes at Villa in a time where the top 4 were unbreakable. I know he brought in a lot of questionable players on ridiculously high wages (although you've got to question the ownership there for sanctioning it). But he has worked with limited resources in the past and had great success firstly with Wycome, bringing them up through non league to what is now league 1, then Leicester. We don't want that man near Sunderland nor do we want Hughes there either, both would significantly improve them. How anyone could suggest either is not a huge improvement on Bruce, beggars belief really. I'm hoping that the caretaker there wins a game or two and gets the gig full time, that crap rarely works out

Look at the league table Jose I loved him as a NUFC player, but lost a lot of respect for him with the way he left, saying stuff like he wanted to wait until we are free of relegataion before signing a new contract, then never signing one. If we finish ahead of them at the end of May I'll be looking for any thoughts him and Carroll have to say.

Club DJ ? He seems to have a liking for that job.
