  1. God, this games a fucking dreadful.

I don't think the peformance against West Ham helped them. They played so well then followed it up with a win away in Europe with their reserves, that it looked like it was MacDonald's job to lose. Another isssue is that there is not stand out candidates available right now.
  3. I've got to admit I've had my doubts all along with Hughton, it's still early days but in the last 7 or 8 months he's done a lot to persuade me that I may have been wrong.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I was hovering over that ready to click
  5. Consider the cost of everyone else in the dressing room wanting parity with his wages / relative payrise. Exactly. Not to mention the fact that the term 'proven prem quality' isn't applicable here. Hes more proven at PL level than Coloccini and hes our top earner isnt he? Taylor's had 5 pretty poor seasons in my book. Makes him no more proven that someone with 1 'bad' season. Name me a newcastle CB that's had a decent season in the premiership last 5 years..... Because if your theory is correct, it'll be none Faye was decent. I wouldn't pay much attention to Ronaldo's "book". He's not exactly going to the make any best sellers awards, unless it's for his works of complete fiction. You obviously haven't been a 'fan' for long. But to answer Neesy's ridiculous question; Bassong and Faye have had genuinely good seasons, Taylor hasn't. Longer than you've been alive mate. Taylor's been fine, and he's still young for that position, plenty of time to develop.

It's him but who the hell is him, not sure it's a football agent to be honest, I expect them to be a little more professional looking, he looks like someone who's been sleeping in a metro station overnight.

There is no way you can tell from that photo, that it's him.
  9. Hope the deal gets done, good news if true.

I have no clue who Justin Lockwood is and I have no clue where this thread has been going for that couple of pages.
  11. Depends on if we miss out on HBA, which people seem to think is possible now. If we do I would take Keane for a season, if not wouldn't waste a loan or money on him.
  12. I'll be more than happy if Ben Arfa is confirmed and Taylor signs a new deal. Very good work by both owner and manager.
  13. WTF, they have a 5 man panel deciding who deserves this pointless award. What a waste of time and effort.
  14. I'm surprised Sol didn't play in the league cup, not even on the bench. Difficult to see Hughton spliting up the centre halves, but personally if he's available I would play him, hard on MW though.

If your last 2 performances are to go by you wont. Everton have hardly been convincing either, Villa are at home, think it'll be a close one, Villa probably edging a win.

It should be droves, should it not? Unless villa fans are actually bees n wasps. It's either a very clever play on words, referring to their accents or just a typo.
  17. No way I would send any of our young strikers on loan to league 2 clubs, got a feeling it's Ranger, that should be knocked back.

When's the deadline for registering players to play this weekend ?
  19. The Tampa Bay Bucs (owned by the Glazers) are really struggling to sell out there games this season, they've had a few poor seasons in a row, since winning the superbowl, and had top 5 draft picks in both of the last two years, which means big salaries. I could see them selling up or moving to LA, but I'm sure that's putting a strain on the Glazer's cash flow.

    LOL at Lolro

I don't think that's a bad call tbh, we historically have struggled at Wolves, they've looked good early season, I would take a draw in a hearbeat from this one.

LOL, I didn't even know they were playing tonight. HAHA. Cheapens our win over them a little but still funny.

WTF is RMC ? Everyone's talking like the lad's in the bag, but surely one thing we've learned from this episode, is that it aint over till it's over. Not counting any chickens until he's signed.

wtf, thought this one was dead a long time ago
  24. WTF are you on ? Ranger was spot on from an attitude pov, he was willing to put a shift in in an unfamiliar role and was a constant goal threat. If he had a go at some clogger, so f***ing what. You're f***ing mad tbh.
  25. Just watched the game, haven't read any other posts so forgive me if I repeat some things: A good win I think, when you take into account all the square pegs pushed into round holes Positives: Krul - After a first half of indecisiveness, came back strong in the 2nd with 3 great saves. Tav - Thought he was excellent in the first, look the pick of the defence, and solid throughout, would like to see him at RB. Kadar - Cool and calm throught, solid best way to describe him. Lua Lua - Would have prefered to see him on the right but really took the game to Accrington, in the 2nd half, deserved a goal and was very very close. Ranger - Ran Lua Lua close for MoM for me, looks very sharp and worked his arse off, was badly at fault for Accrington's first goal but made up for that with a strong performance. But ffs play him through the middle. Ferguson - For a young lad making his debut, thought he did really well, didn't do anything flashy but got the basics right Negatives: Vuckic - I was expecting a lot more from him, final ball was poor all night, but did work hard, seems a little ways a way from 1st team consideration. Shola - Scored but a lifeless performance, untidy in possession gave the ball away a lot and displayed a complete lack of effort which suggested he didn't want to be out there. Donaldson - Anonymous in the middle, didn't look comfortable out there at all. It's obvious from this that we need to hang on to Lua Lua, as we are desperately short of cover for our wide positions and Lua Lua may just be able to do a job for us. Tav should be nurtired along with more First time opportunities, love the maturity of the lad. Kadar as he showed last season, can be relied on if call upon. Ranger needs a chance, either through loan, or some sub opportunities. Shola needs a kick up the backside and Vuckic should not be hurried, you can tell the potential is there but on this performance, it's not ready to surface yet.
