We've got out with a wimper this half, Taylor's spot on there
-
That's it for Viduka at NUFC
-
Barry should have been 2
-
We'll get one last chance, hope whoever it falls to takes it.
-
We get to entertain Scunthorpe next season
-
Matter of time before the 2nd comes I think, we are on the edge of it all being over.
-
Nervous as hell the lads now, it's painful watching atm tbh.
-
We've had an awful season and totally deserve to go down, but we've also been dreadfully unlucky in the last two most important games of the season.
-
We need half time, got to change this, nothing happening atm
-
I know duff didn't know much about it but it was a huge deflection
-
We really don't look like scoring though
-
Blow the final whistle ffs, ref
-
The commentary is about a half second ahead of the pictures here, it's annoying as hell.

That was mentioned on NUFC.COM as well not a record anyone wants, obviously. Lets hope (looking on the bright side) we get promoted next season, with the highest ever Second Division ('Championship') crowds. It will still be another 'unwanted' record though! I may be wrong, but I think we already hold that record. Good Grief !!!! So, we're gonna break one of our own (probably our 'only' one, now) records then! How SAD is that . . . (er . . . "IF" we get promoted, that is!!) (and perhaps . . . "IF" we go down in the first place - but this "IF" seems very likely!) im not certain, but i think it was higher than 52,000..so no we are not going to break it. Yes it is, 54k ish, crazy really, but apparently our fans only turned up when KK came the first time. It really is a crying shame for the fans what's happened to this club not just this season but over the last 50 so years, we should be reguarily challenging for trophies as we were in at the turn of the 20th century and in the 1950's. The club has failed it's supporters big time and consistently.

Where at? I might be headed over into the I-drive area around Disney - usually lots of British people in the pubs around those parts, there's bound to be a few Newcastle fans to suffer through it with. There's a British pub in the mechado centre on I-drive where I would always watch our games, when I lived in Orlando.

Aye 6 FA cups, 4 Leauge champs and one of not that many English clubs that have won a Euro trophy. Plus countless times runners up in all competitions. In terms of trophies we are most definately a big club, it's just they all happened before most of us were born.

My heart says Shearer will stay but my head tells me to remember who are owner is and his track record of decision making and I find it hard to not envisage Kinnear returning to steer a path to mid table (in the championship).

I am not ashamed to admit I would be rooting for a Spurs or someone to go down if the roles were reversed. Similarily, I still think it's hilarious what's happened to Leeds. I expect the rest of the nation to feel the same amount of fun in our plight as I would in teams such as Leeds.

I'm no fan of NUFC.com, however I just checked out their site to gauge their mood and in amongst the plethora of advertisements, I found a statement I think is appropriate for this game: "This battle for survival is far from over. We have to believe that victory will keep us in the Premier League and we have to believe that victory is achievable. If that isn't enough then we can applaud the team from the pitch, knowing that failings elsewhere ultimately let us down but anything less than three points on Sunday will prove that the men charged with saving this club weren't up to the job." We've got to do our bit, we've got to win, if we do then we'll have an excellent chance to escape, if not then the club has let us down on biggest day of the season.

Absofuckinglutely. This is key, there is just so much work to do, there is no time for sitting back mauling things over, having a break, then finally making the decision on who will be the permenant manager some time in late June early July. But why do I get the impression that that's exactly what will happen ?

I thought he was on a 3 year contract, in fact I would be amazed if he wasn't, you would not sign a young player on a 2 year contract, that means he's still got 2 more seasons. So he won't bwe available on a free. Even if he were out of contract, he would still cost a club money because he'd be too young to qualify for a bosman. I agree though, no way in hell any team will pay 8-10 million for him, he's simply not shown that class yet, 5 million is the max we'll get. Well considering Arsenal are preparing a £15m move for Brede Hangeland. (*cough* The Sun) That's freaking crazy, but at least he's been the key cog in a highly effective defensive unit that is on the cusp of going from just narrowly escaping relegation last season to Europe this. He's not been the best member of the footballing equivelant of the keystone cops defensive unit that is the laughing stock of the entire country.

In a sense I'm looking forward very much to Monday, firstly this damn nightmare of the season is over and secondly we'll be able to begin the job of overhauling this god awful set of players. Relegation will of course make it so much easier, but the club still has to get it right. It's no good replacing shit, underperforming, overpaid players with players in the same mould. Whomever is our manager needs help in identifying the players that will do what this club has never done before and get us straight back up. The manager needs to be backed of course to do this. It's no good Ashley just cutting costs all oover the place because of the loss in revenue, we may need to make a substanial loss next year to have even a hope of getting back, it's not going to be easy though, that's for sure.

Excellent bump. This just shows how they've sleepwalked into trouble this season. I'm not sure it ever dawn on them until about a month ago that they were in a relegation battle. Dumbasses.
