    LOL at Lolro

Yeah I'm not sure I don't agree with his predictions, I can see all 3 games going the way he says.
  2. At home in my PJ's since it'll be about 9am here, I just hope I resist the temptation to throw things at the expensive televsion I have.
  3. I agree. I concur with the agreement. Strikes me as an act of self interest above the team needs tbh. Reporters ask questions, he answers them. If he refuses to comment, people will think he's hiding away and wants away. If he lies, and then moves on in the Summer he gets accused of being someone who can't be trusted. No win situation tbh. You're the biggest apologist for our players, and their f*** ups, on here. He could, and should have said that this isn't the time to be talking about his or anyone elses future at the club. Exactly, how difficult is it to make that kind of statement.
  4. I want all the stress to be gone pretty early but it's unlikely. It's probably going to go down to the last second of all games, lets just hope that we are the ones that come out smiling at the end of it. There will be ups and downs on sunday, as there were last staruday were at one point with Hull behind, and us drawing all we needed was a goal to secure our survival. I'm really not looking forward to this at all, if monday wasn't a work day I would be praying for that to come around as fast as possible.
  5. It's an interseting moral delima and worthy of a poll in my opinion. Do you love your club enough to partake in some mano y mano activities, in much the same way as "gay for pay" porn stars. Ferguson, Hiddink on O'Neil are just longing for some good servicing.

    I'll Sue!

The important thing here really is to keep the focus on both Manure and Chelsea (whom everyone seems to be forgetting about), by doing so it creates a sense inside these teams that the world will be watching them, and they need to attempt to win the game, because surely a Manure team should be expected to beat a Hull City team 99 times out of 100 and a Chelsea team should be able to beat a Mackem team 99 out of 100. Articles like this are great for keeping the focus on them. Little suggestions to the press that these teams may take it easy considering their important games coming up, is what we need to be doing right now. That's exactly what Ferguson did with Notts forest, when KK had his tantrum. It worked for the red nosed c***, f***ing Ian Woan the w*****.
  7. I've never dream of NUFC for whatever reason. But if I for some strange reason do dream about them over the next 2 or 3 days I hope the dream involves us going down, because the one consistant thing about my dreams is that they never come true.
  8. I agree. I concur with the agreement. Strikes me as an act of self interest above the team needs tbh.
  9. Athough I think he's had a good season and easily our player of the year. I'm not convinced yet that he is a great player as people on this thread have been suggesting. He's a promising youngster atm that still needs to work on his game. Being our best player this season is not exactly the most coverted honour considering how bad we've been. He gets too close too often, relies heavily on illegal contact with the player and has been fortunate this season to get away with a lot. I don't really see a team willing to part with the money we'll want for him 10m or so. The max I think anyone will pay is 5m, of course the Shay Given deal shows the club can easily get fleeced but if they hold out for their asking fee, he could well be playing championship football next season, whether he likes it or not.

It's just bound to happen isn't it.

Essentially it is in our hands though. I can't see both Man U and Chelsea losing on Sunday, regardless of how bothered they may or may not be. A win on Sunday will take us above the Mackems and Hull unless they can match that with a win of their own. I think we're going down though, we'll give a committed performance on Sunday and put Villa under plenty of pressure but get caught on the break. You might not be able to see it, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. FFS we could beat villa 9-0 and still quite easily get relegated. Fact is it's not in our own hands, we are praying that Chelsea and/or Manure do us a favour.
  12. I honestly don't care what team Ferguson puts out. I've written this game off, our best hope may be the dirty mackems getting beat off Chelsea and we winning, but the chances that both those events happen are slim.
  13. I don't it is, it's a fair point. Do you seriously want to see a bunch of geordie men balling their eyes out. That shot will be shown time and time again on national TV and in the papers. Far better to see the fans actually sing through the pain and go out with our heads held high, like the poster above suggested. The papers will still get their shot of the upset fan they want, that's for sure, but if the overwhelming impression is one of defiance and a we'll be back type, then that will push those shots into the background. I certainly hope the fans do a much better job on the atomosphere than they appeared to against Fulham.

    Game 39

I'm still in favour of the theory of exporting meaningful top flight games to foreign country, the practicality of a game 39 however I thought was never a starter.
  15. I didn't bother reading past the 2nd line of this utter garbage.
  16. I'll predict a 1-0 defeat. Villa will want to finish strong to try to pip Everton to 5th, and I just don't think our players have the bottle, desire or talent to get the result they need. I just wish it were all over tbh and we can move on to the next season of mismanagement.
  17. It's been 2 years since Shepherd was removed, that's plenty of time for Ashley to deal with the mess. Instead he's made things doubly worse.
  18. That first statement just doesnt sound right. Surely its not his club its ours. He just happens to have paid for a turn at the reins. We were here long before him and will be here long after hes gone. It might not sound right but it's true. Exactly, although we support the club it's not ours, we are merely paying customers, if Ashley wants to run the club into the ground then he's perfectly entitled to do that. Unfortunately for us it's not like supermarkets, if Tesco don't offer what we like, we can't very easily do your weekly shop at Sainsburys, unless of course your name is Lee Stewart
  19. At the end of the day the person with ultimate accountability is Ashley, he's the one who appointed the chairman, he's the one who appointed the manager and his choice of manager and dof has bought, sold and retained players. For me he takes the brunt of blame for our impending relegation. Yes others have played their parts and are rightfully the focus of anger from the fans, the previous regime left the club in far from ideal state, the managers have simply not been up to the job, KK left us in it without a thought for anything but himself, the players have time after time given us spineless performances and have not lived up to their talent and wage packets. But at the end of the day ultimate accountability lies with Ashley, he's simply been a complete and utter disaster, but I guess it's his company he can do what he likes with it, including running it in the most ridiculously niave way imaginable.

Don't understand why people still think it's in our hands. It's quite clearly not, we still need a hell of a lot of luck and a performance from our boys on the last day, two elements that have been missing all season, I doubt very much it will change on Sunday. The best we can hope for I think is a draw at Villa, although Villa have been in awful form of late, we've hardly been pulling up trees ourselves and never threatened to beat anyone away from home since we went to WBA. I can't believe Hull won't get a result against Manure, so for me I can't believe we are anything other than a 10.

    Howard Webb

This is the thing. A lot of us overseas folk were watching it live, we could see it clearly, there was no bloody foul. I'm biased as fuck, but I can honestly say if that goal had been disallowed at the other end or had it had happened to hull in their game, i would be saying the exact same thing. The thing is it's cost us big time, probably more than any other disallowed goal in our recent history.

    Howard Webb

Actually we more than matched fulham today. First half we were poor but we were much the better side in the 2nd and deserved to get something out of the game. We had more possesion and more teritorial advantage, according to the stats. It was an absolutely shocking decision by webb, there was not enough there to give a foul and it has cost us our PL status. I'm not absolving the players totally from blame here, as they've got us into this position, but Webb has played a huge part in sending us down. Have a f***ing word . Howard Webb will play no part in us getting relegated, fact is we should have scored with all this 'posession and teritorial advantage'. We should have been better than we were, end of. Plus there's the other 37 games you play in a season. How about you stfu !! Did you even read what I said, we deserved something out of the game we had the possesion, territory and the best chances. Yes of course if we played even better we would have got the result we needed, no s*** sherlock ! Webb has had a huge part to play in sending us down, if you think that is a crazy statement to make, as you suggest, then you are proving to be a complete blithering idiot. Maybe you should be the one having a word with yourselves lol lol lol Oh and the "pls 37 other games s***. Again did you read my post "I'm not absolving the players totally from blame here, as they've got us into this position", ffs reading comprehension ftw. I'm a blithering idiot because I don't think a referee that made ONE controversial decision to disallow a goal in ONE game of a THIRTY EIGHT game season is sending us down? Aye, ok Forget the points we threw away against Stoke, Wigan and Man City at home. Forget the chances we had to beat Pompey. Forget the chances we had to score a goal today. Forget the two guilt-edge opportunities Martins should have buried, and the stupid mistake from Bassong to get sent off, the bad positioning of Taylor to play their goal onside - The thing that's playing a big hand in sending us down is a disallowed goal from Howard Webb! Are you a little slow or something. Why don't you clearly point out where I did not say that the players had got us into this position that someone like howard fucking webb can make a awful call that has in all probability cost us our PL status. Honestly do everyone a favour and stfu, you obviously have zero reading comnprehension skills.

I think it's just hit me on my drive home from picking up a birthday cake for my daughter. We are going down. Newcastle United. Although I've thought it was likely for the longest time, there was always that little piece of hope that we would drag ourselves out of it. But I just can't see any hope now. None whatsover. Yes we could possibly beat Villa considering the form they are in but that's still a big ask for the group of players we have and I just can't see Hull and the Mackems not picking up the results they need against two teams with much more important things on their minds. I'm feeling somewhat shellshocked atm.
