    Football Tattoos

Not to the extent they have today and it was usually when people were in the forces. And virtually only men. Women with tattoos are the worst thing for me, that and excessive piercing are as unattractive a thing as I find.

    Football Tattoos

I have yet to see an old man with tattoos that looks anything other than a chrava's grandad, it's usually accompanied by overly greased hair, a string vest and smoking rollies.

I'm sorry but there is nothing "classy" about tatoos, I can't wait to see this younger generation get older and look at their saggy skin dressed in saggy tatoos and ridiculous piercing. Hidieous tbh.

    RIP sale thread.

I wouldn't get your hopes up too much, this sounds so much like the Nigerian constrium crap we put up with last time around. It's not going to happen, if and when we are sold it'll be to some totally inapporpriate group with in sufficent backing and wont take place for months yet.
  6. The bit I highligted in bold is very encouraging.
  7. It's not going to be half empty Dave. That's nonesense, we'll still be in the the top 5 attendances in the whole of the country, I'm pretty sure about that.
  8. With the exception of Leeds, none of those clubs have the resources that we have. They punched above their weight in the prem, much like Stoke, Hull and wigan are doing right now. Leeds of course are a unique case and even when they were in the prem didn't come close to matching our revenue, barring the one year they got in the CL. I've seen this arguement before but you are really comparing apples to oranges when you bring in the names of those clubs. What will stop us from going straight back up is Ashley's lunacy tbh, nothing more, if he sells fast and the new people come in with a realistic view on events then we'll go straight back up I'm sure. However the likelihood is we'll see a prolonged period of instability and the new owners will not be in place until well after the transfer window has closed, and they'll prove to be more interested in reducing costs than buying a ticket to win the lottery, if they be in at all.

I'm absoulutely certain we'll basically see 2 to 3 months of no progress whatsover, Ashley will still be the owner come the start of the season and JFK will be leading a under prepared, thread bare squad for the first game of the season away to Scunthrope.

Nobody in their right mind would pay 100 million for a championship club with 100 million in debted to the previous owner. He basically has to absorb that "loan" he made to the club and take the 150 million loss he's made in his two year association with NUFC. What's telling in that phrase which is quoted for the Times interview is that he says he's lost his money, he clearly is writing it off, even he's not stupid enough to think he'll get a buyer for the club without doing so. surely it isnt just the sale value of the club and the debt to Ashley a new buyer would have to consider, its also the company's liabilities and assets? The key thing that we all know about is the huge financial albatross of the players contracts that need to be honoured. As we all know that this is for huge amounts of money for very little assets those players themselves cant be disposed of without writing off huge sums of money. Although the assets of the players are considered theyre surely not in relation to their true worth, as most arent worth anything like what was paid for them, or for what they are being paid. I would guess you would have to write off at least another £50m to clear out the dross. Hence time for Ashley to cut his losses and do a runner. Not sure I understand any of that logic tbh. It looks like he wants 100million for a debt free club. Last year our revenue was 100 million, we've lost 34million in TV money plus probably a further 10million from other revenue, ie gates, corporate, advertising and merchandise. So that would leave us with a revenue of around 56 million. We are therefore looking to make savings of around 44million to make up that deficet. The players that are out of contract in the summer equate to around 14 million in wages. Defecit down to 30 million. I think the players wages are around 64million, take the 14million off that and we are left with 50million. Say the relegation clause (which I'm sure they all have, despite what is said in the press) is around 25%, then we can take another 12.5million off that 30 million deficit to get to 17.5million. Say we sell Geremi, Barton, Jonas, Colo, Smith and Martins for a combined 18million, which wipes out the deficit but also we'll save around 15million in wages. Leaving us with around 15.5 million for replacing the players lost and paying their wages. I don't think that's enough so I would expect the new owners to put in a further 20million to finance recruitment and pay the wages. So if any new prospective owner is looking to put in less that 20 million beyond their original investment, then we need to be extremely suspicious of them. 50 million is a little unrealistic, unless they want to hang on to the deadwood at the club, the ones I mention should be the easiest to get rid of.
  11. Before thuis weekend I was pretty confident that we would come straight back up however Ashley has contrived to make things even worse. I think we'll now suffer a similar fate to the previous times we've been relegated, a prolonged stint in the second flight of English football. At this moment in time, I just can not see a light at the end of the tunnel. It's amazing that one man could fuck things up so much.

  13. Yeah we can kiss goodbye to this happening, thanks a bunch Ashley you complete and utter tosser.

OF FFS, the man's a bloody moron, fair enough look to sell the club but do it quietly, strange how he never opens his mouth unless he's trying to sell when he shouldn't. WTF would you do if you were Shearer, this man can't promise you anything. He just compounds one mistake by another, how on earth he became a self made billionaire is beyond me.
  15. He's bullshitting man, but even if he wasn't it would be more stupid to reveal your sources and probably never told a thing again from them.
  16. How, not that I believe a word that stupido says but he said someone only invloved in the last 8 games of the season. Carver was not. The three that were were: Shearer, Dowie and Paul Ferris.
  17. If I didn't live 4,500 miles away from the ground, Iw ould renew the season ticket , that is still in my name in a heartbeat, despite what they've put us through I really can't wait for next season to start. Fresh hope is there.
  18. I'd say this isn't far off. Maybe + a couple of million in clauses etc. I disagree on Bassong. Not because I'm taken in my the love fest that seems to have built up around the lad but more because there is no need for us to sell at that price, he's not one of the ones that is draining our resources in terms of salary, we can afford to hold out for a better price on him. I would say 8million is more realistic, anything significantly less than that, then we should tell them to piss off.
  19. That's certainly a big possibility.
  20. I am sure there are a lot of legal implications to draft as AS would want watertight guarantees. It also worries me that so many seem to be falling into the syndrome that Matthew Syed was talking about in that article (not that I agree with absolutely everything he said) ie an unquestioning loyalty to the local hero and demonising anyone who doesn't meet their demands. I'm sorry but that's another load of crap for you. Quoting something that tosspot has said is bad enough but it's also completely groundless. No manager of NUFC in my recollection has not been given a chance by supporters. Even unpopular choices like Souness, JFK, Roeder and Allardyce were not immediately hounded out of the job, they were all given a chance. Completely groundless, scaremongering, I honestly don't understand your obession against club legends like Shearer and KK, you've obviously got some sort of problem with it, can't understand it tbh. Credit the fans with a little more intelligence ffs, we don't think of these people as Messiah's who can do no wrong, that's media fuelled baloney.
  21. One thing that has been a familiar failing of the Ashley owenership has been a lack of decisiveness when it's needed. Above all things you need someone in charge who takes the bull by it's horns and makes brave decisions. The one time he's done that for me was sacking BSA and bringing in KK, other than that he's been slow and indecisive and it's cost us dearly.
  22. I think next week will be the start of the various stories of players wanting to leave. They've let things settle for a week, probably under their agents advice and I'm sure we'll see the likes of Martins, Colocinni and Owen say they have no desire to play in the championship.
  23. Unfortunately, this is spot on. I would hope we would go for Martinez but the liklihood is that JFK will be plotting our course for championship survival.
  24. Got to say I'm getting a little worried about this now. I thought there would be an annoucement yesterday, but I expected something when I came into work this morning. Disappointed not to see anything. We are very much in a race against time so the parties need to reach some sort of agreement so or move on to the next person on their list. We can not allow this situation to ramble on, way too much work to do.
