  1. We can't go into that last game a point behind hull, no way we'll stay up
  2. Awful, they've been horrible, Shearer has to get them going and the fucking crowd need to wake up, they have been as pathetic as the team tbh.
  3. Why do I have problems with IE 8 and the quick quote box ?
  4. Everton equaliser not good for us, need west ham to win to ensure they have something to play for last game of season
  5. Crowd are pathetic atm, they really need to lift it and lift the players.
  6. Who cares? I'm much happier to be watching mildly enthusiastic Man Utd supporters celebrating. The lack of excitement from the crowd is shocking they don't deserve all the success they get. Funny though we missed the trophy presentation itself here in canada, instead setanta decied to show a interview with Wenger in french , lol FFS come on get to SJP, this is ridiculous
  7. Fucking setanta, still at this stupid trophy presentation
  8. I have no idea how you west coast Mags do it. I have a hard enough time getting up and down to the bar by 10 AM here in NY. We absolutely need a point, I have a feeling Hull will get exactly 1 more point from their last two, probably tomorrow. We're obviously likely safe with a win, but I think a draw could certainly easily be enough. Of course, still have to play for the win, same as we played against Boro, but I wouldn't be too upset with a draw (assuming of course that Bolton don't screw the pooch and lose to Hull). I have no idea how any of yous overseas fans do it, I take my hat off to you! I will never again complain about having to get the Metro into town for the match! I'm on mountain time here, so we are 7hrs behind the UK. Since I'm up at 5.50am for work everyday it's not a problem for me to get up for the 3pm kick off's that's 8am my time. The early kickoffs though are a different story and of course I miss all the Monday night games because I'm at work. Can't complain about the coverage over here though, I pay $15 a month for setanta, which who show at least 3 live games a week plus every single game in whole on tape delay throughout the weekend. We also have Sportsnet and The Score, who each show a live game and Fox sports world show sky sports news and stuff too. I've also got the two BBC channels to remind me of old blighty

    F*ck off Rugby

There would have been a hell of a lot more people there had it been held at Old trafford, Egbaston, the Oval or just about any other place in the country. Test matches have started on a working day ever since there inception and rarely have crowds been as low as they were on Thursday. Cricket just is not a passion for people in the north east. I actually really love the test game, and the ashes will certainly be the highlight of the summer for me but I got to admit it's not a game the north east has ever really taken to it's hearts. This whole test match is just an embarrassment to the North East I'm afraid.

    F*ck off Rugby

As opposed to kicking it back to your mate three times, and then kicking it forward to the other team. You sure you have the right game? Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Tackled, pass the ball back between your legs to your mate Kick the ball to the other team. repeat Not kicked though. It's five times too. Anyway, you all may have chance to take it in and decide for yourselves if the 'Magic Weekend' is moved to Newcastle in 2012 which is currently being discussed at the minute. Dunno why they bother. From what highlights i saw Murrayfield was only half full. Best off having it at Old Trafford or something. No need to make fans travel further for normal league games either...bit of a waste of time. Murrayfield was crap to be fair. I reckon Newcastle would be a decent option though. FFS no one outside those counties to the immediate south and west of us, cares about the game in this country. When are they gonna learn not to try to expand it to areas that quite frankly don't give a toss. Look at the embarrassment of the test match at Chester le street for an indicator here. The only minor sport that has any sort of footing in the region is Rugby Union, the rest are just embarassingly undersupported. Football is king in the region and always will be.
  11. It's not always about money. actually, i think you'll find it is for people who don't have any dude I could understand if it was a prick like Ronaldo. It's Martin Laursen though, a top professional both on and off the pitch. you might be mistaking apathy for dislike here...? I think it comes down to the same thing. I feel sorry for Laursen because he's a genuine bloke who I'd say values playing football ahead of money. on what do you base that? not that it matters, the point stands - i'm still far too devastated that i never made professional football 'cause i was s*** and overweight to have sympathy for this fucker Just my opinion, it's the way he comes across. Not all footballers are c***s. That's no reason to feel sorry for a multi millionaire that can no longer "work" his 3 hour a day job. These pros have a fantastic life and are richly rewarded. There are way more deserving cases for my sympathy in other walks of life than Laursen.
  12. I would start with Owen again for this one, in fact, I would keep the smae starting 11 and probably make the same subs as Monday night. No need to change it IMO, and nice to be able to field an unchanged 11 for the first time in about 100 years.
  13. Who gives a s***, doesn't play for us. No feelings of sympathy for a man who's set up for life and gets to retire with no money worries at the ripe old age of 31. If I get to retire at 65 I'll be happy.
