LOL, absolutely.

Used to be 5pm on the Friday before the weekend, made no difference if you played on the Saturday or Sunday. I doubt this has changed. I don't give 2 shits about Berbatov being registered in time, more concenred with whether we'll get Jonas in there.

It can work both ways, a lot of teams in the past, especially at St James, have shown us too much respect, they've sat back and hoped to get a draw or sneak a win. That's sometimes worked in our favour, I think Everton for example are a team that comes up to Newcastle hoping for a result rather than expecting one. Villa last season, with a bit more ambition could have easily wlaked away with 3 points. However some teams, like Portsmouth last year have woken up to the reality that SJP is not the fortress it once was, they showed us very little respect and got their rewards. If teams come to SJP and try to win the game, thinking we are a soft touch, then it'll surely raise the entertainment factor, we might win the odd game we would have drawn in previous seasons but some teams will be rewarded which would worry me as we've always been very relient on our home form. Interestingly enough i reckon the bigger clubs i.e the top four come to Newcastle expecting a tough game regardless of form and ability etc. It's because of this that we can often gets spanked off the big clubs, it's as if they double their effort. I suspect next season we might be able to suprise a few sides and give teams around us the odd hiding. True, they have often raised their games thinking we are more of a challenge than we actually are, as I said I think it can work both ways.

O RLY? Do kids really talk like that these days ? God help the next generation I bet the Tudors would say the same about us. Have you ever seen the movie Idiocracy ? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387808/ I swear this will come to pass if something is not done to stop it soon

Not illeagal in the slightest, how many names on shirt have you seen that aren't players for the club, you can put anything you like on the back of your shirt.

This would be sheer madness. Unless we have something else lined up.

Embittered cynic. Spot on mate

The only reason you say he's decent is because he says some nice things about us. He is right in one respect though, we are not going to be struglling at the bottom of the table, like some have suggested, we'll be firmly in the middle, no danger of going down but unless we get our act together over the next few weeks and make some purchases, not going to trouble the euro hopefulls

Excellent self portrait. You really are Mr Witty aren't you ?

this Give me one good reason for NUFC not wanting to tie up this deal and have him available for the game. your post bears no relevance to the 2 you've quoted You're criticising the running of the club. I'm saying it isn't totally their fault and they want the deal done asap. You want people sacked for not getting the deal done ffs. you said give me a reason for NUFC not wanting the deal concluded, neither of us mentioned desire as a factor as chicago says the deal was announced weeks ago, if he's not eligible to play sunday someone needs sacking..."want" has nothing to do with it Even if it's not our fault? Has it occurred to you that a the time we signed him and announced it, we believed the player's documentation was in transit too? The problems may have happened after we confirmed it. You can't rewind time. I'm just saying that I think the club is doing everything it can to get the documents and they're as pissed off about it all as you, I and all of us are. If another party, the Spanish FA, is holding the deal up, it's not our fault. Jesus f***ing wept. i'll reply in 2 ways before kip; 1. it's a good point, something unexpected happened after they announced the signing yet they chose not to announce said impediment 2. we employ people on crazy wages, embarrassing wages really, to ensure this s*** does not happen have you seen it at another club? me either? thus someones not earning their money, fucken sack em Using the 'Webster rule' to sign a player isn't exactly a run-of-the-mill transfer. It's unusual and clubs are still trying to get their heads around the new legislation atm. I'm not exonerating the club totally however, and I hope they learn from their mistakes. I'm suggesting the problems with the missing registration surfaced after we'd signed him and the Spanish FA are backing their team and holding fire for the time being. I don't believe for a second that NUFC don't want this sorted asap and want to play Gutierrez as much and as soon as possible and are doing everything they can to get it resolved. PS. I bet the same twats who are complaining about us announcing the Jonas signing early are the very same twats who are complaining about Coloccini not being confirmed on the website. Maybe, just f***ing maybe, Ashley is a bit embarrassed by the Guti deal being held up and is holding fire on going public about the Colo deal. Just a thought. Sleep tight, tiger. x You are really a complete dick head, I'm sorry, but you've just called about 90% of the forum a bunch of twats. Because about 90% of us have complained, and rightly so, that we've still seen no official announcement on Colocinni. Is it so much to ask for a little communication from the club ? Obviously in your little world asking for that makes you a t***. Couldn't give a s*** tbh. Why am I not surprised.

Just starting my day. No change in the title but people talking as if he's officially signed. Has there been any progress ? All I could find when trawling back was a debate on whether he should be a CB or DM.

Sorry but I just fucking hate it ! Oh and is it true that all the crowd did was boo Smith ?
-
I hate it when they refer to Manure as just United, I just fucking hate it. We were a United long before them and our name has an actual meaning behind, not because it sounded cool. "Owen will be fit to play against United" fuck off, he's not facing his own team !!

To be honest, I can't remember a Villa player in 30 years who has made me as undecided as Gabby. Sometimes, he does things which make me think he's potentially got it all, then he'll have spells which make me think he's really not got it. I'm not alone on that front, it is a relatively widely held viewpoint. We do need something different up front, though. We scored more goals than almost everyone last year, but they were spread through the team, we need a striker with a better goal rate than those we have now. It is quite exciting at the moment. More than anything, I want the progress to be sustainable, and so far the signs are that it will be. We've still got a lot to do this window, mind. Two more signings , a RW and a centre forward and the "also rans" title will be yours TBH. The majority of the players you've brought in have been of the right age, obviously Friedel is the exception but you also gt a good young un in to counter balance that. So I don't think you have too many worries in being able to sustain it. If I were O'Neill I would be trying to work out a deal with Liverpool for an player exchange between Barry and Kuyt, I think they may go for that and Villa would the better of that.

mine was similar except i thought owen might make a sneak appearance after training the day zog should be in the too... f***ing hell, if thats the line up we play i might jsut walk out before it kicks off What line up do you think he'll play ? I disagree with MrM, I don't think Owen will be ready and I'm not sure KK rates Zog higher than the midfield 4 I have put in there. Wouldnt be suprised at something simlar to the line up you suggested, just saying i really hope we dont play that, i think we wil line up something like this Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Enrique Jonas Guthrie Butt Milner Smith Duff Can Jonas play then? No one seems to listing him in potential lineups? Smith and Duff up top really dont see where the goals will come from, but its probably the best we can hope for, unless we sign Dean Windass and Francis Jeffers tomorrow. Would like to Zog replace Butt and Milner play centre with Zog on the left, but we shall see. The common opinion seems to be that the paperwork hasn't been sorted out yet and he can't play. But that's not offical and opinions have been wrong in the past.

Yep, he could, but I think he'll be thinking well I need to have at least one recognised striker in my line up and smith unfortunately is the closest thing he's got available. just had a look and there's no smiley for wrist cutting pity You know what though, would surprise me in the least if we went there fielded that team and came away with something. I just got a feeling this may be the best time to play them. Or have I been at the bottle too ??
