  1. No it's just not, for years we've been told how Man City fans are the true football fans in Manchester and how they don't deserve the crap they were subjected too. Yet now when they have limitless resources and a team of such high quality they seem to rather stay inside and watch the games on TV. Like Chelsea before them such an undeserving bunch to have such fantastic backing. We not won anything in 48 years, nothing domestically in 62 and it's 90 years since we last won the title but fill out our ground every week, could you imagine what it would be like if we did have a oil rich country backing us ? I would even argue the Mackems would do a better job at getting behind their team in Man City's situation than they do.
  2. Damn I miss proper chips, a nice chip stottie with batter. They try over here but it's just not the same.
  3. Weren't they calling for that on the day he was announced ? They really should have been, one of the most insane appointments ever that.
  4. I watched the full game, late last night when I got home from work. TBH, even as a Shelvey fan, I thought he could have little argument with being dropped. However when he came on, in that short cameo he was excellent, must have played 4 or 5 excellent passes, not all of the 40 yard hollywood type either. I've been arguing forever that we need to go with Merino Hayden and Shelvey in the middle dropping whoever plays at number 10. Chelsea would be a perfect game to try that.
  5. A MINIMUM of .... extra time to be played. I'm sure there was a stoppage in play for the disallowed goal right before the one they actually scored from.
  6. Next to go ? Moyes or Clement, surely, although narrow loss at Chelsea might buy Clement a little time. Pulis being out there will be a temptation for clubs that are struggling, he has a track record of going in an immediately getting results, terrible manager to have long term but short term as good as any of the old guard at keeping sides in the division
  7. Really wide open relegation battle, anyone from 9th down can go down, no one yet cut adrift. West Ham will sack Moyes soon I think, they've got to realise that they've fucked up that appointment and their only chance of survival is to rectify it before he damages them still further.
  8. Wow that'll be a fantastic result for Southampton.
  9. Can see that happening or him going to Swansea if the pull the trigger on Clement.
  10. How long before West Ham realise they've made a terrible mistake with Moyes ?
  11. Lewis Gibson, certainly made the right call in dumping us to join that lot with Unsworth and the fat git in charge of his development.
  12. There is a player there for sure, just very raw and needs time to develop, could be a very wise investment if we coach him the right way. Having said that, since we had such a limited pot this summer not really a smart thing to waste a sizable chunk on a development player.
  13. Seems to have declined in form since adopting that ridiculous hair style. Coincidence ?
  14. Also short term, as he has a history of leaving a mess behind him. Just hope he takes a little time to settle in like he did with Palace and the Mackems, since we play them pretty soon.
  15. I would put money on Swansea being the next to get rid, and they replace Clement with Pulis, so all the old farts that never get relegated are back in position.
  16. Love this comment on the Beeb, lol: "David sullivan15: Pardew is probably the most underrated British manager. Wherever he’s been he’s improved the team & whenever he’s left or been sacked that team has declined following his departure!" http://www.bbc.com/sport/live/football/42163888
  17. Not expecting anything from this one, but at least we are not going into it on the back of 5 straight defeats, the pressure is off us, I think that will help the players.

Probably the best thing thinking long term, right? Psychologically we don't want to be going into our toughest month of the season just 3 points clear of the relegation zone. Being 5 points just gives us an extra bit of leeway. We don't need Everton finding form before our game with them, fat Sam usually takes a little time to work his "magic", his Palace side lost 5-1 to the Mackems in one of his first games, last season but they will get some new manager bounce. A draw would be the best result in that game I think.

The concern is though, that those other teams are likely to invest in January to fix their problems we are not. The comeback tonight was great but at the end of the day, it's another winnable game against a side managed by Gary Megson that we've failed to take 3 points from. We need at least 25 more points, difficult to see us getting close to that unless we start to improve. Having said that all our wins have come against teams we will be in the mix with the bottom three plus Stoke, we've got a bunch of the weaker sides still to play at home too.
  20. Brighton seem to be doing alright mate. Yep with not a much better squad than we have, we are under performing badly and that includes the manager. You make all these changes but fail to change the one player everyone can see is clearly not up to it, deserves the stick he'll get if we lose yet again tonight.
  21. Not able to watch this, probably just delete on my PVR. Game over I take it, since we've only scored once this season after falling behind.
  22. Leicester have turned the corner just in time to face us
  23. Neither did I but I can respect Rafa's judgement, he obviously likes his link up play or something. What link up play ?
  24. Wow, it's different I guess but fuck me how badly does Joselu have to play to get dropped ? I can't argue that Elliot, Shelvey, Manquillo, Diame and Gayle deserve their non participation however.
