That's a good call, think it will be a little longer though, they will give Billic a month or so and then he'll be the first manager sacked I think. Those owners will be more than happy to pay Ashley's compensation and any loyalty fee Rafa would owe for breaking his contract. And you know very well who will return here.
-
He looked good from the 40 minutes I saw from their match yesterday. I watched most of the game, he was excellent, messed up a one v one opportunity but other than that was a constant threat, big strong and direct, very English like in his play, he'll score plenty this season, considering all the effort we put into that french market, not sure why we weren't in for him.
-
Seems to be a common thing that people are towing this line. I'm trying to recall his other incidents, the Lansbury incident, which was absolutely nothing, which was even overturned. Has he ever been sent off before that playing for us ? I can't recall ? The only other incident was the alleged racism, which was dubious at best and certainly not something that would be held up in a court of law. So unless someone can answer my honest question (as I don't really know for sure), then this line that he has previous with us, doesn't really hold a lot of water.

Not debating that, good night dude, least I've got GOT to look forward to later, the senseless murder and violence should hopefully cheer me up and I'll be back to my usual bouncy self tomorrow.
-
Real test will come if another club with greater ambition make a play for him, why would he stay ?
-
I would take a chance on him for those terms (loan to perm).
-
But when I insinuate that he's not a happy camper in his interviews, I get lols, hmm I see how that works.
-
Barely mentioned. Might have been different if it had been the other way round. How predictable
-
Bilic is really an awful manager, we play them in 2 games, hope he's still around by then.
-
Thanks man, I wouldn't be able to contribute a lot anyway, spent all my cash on hard liquor and drugs
-
For the first time this whole summer, I wouldn't be surprised if he did walk soon, he's clearly not a happy camper in any of his pre and post match interviews.
-
Yep that's PL know how, just ask Ryder
-
Assume you are talking about shelvey here ?
-
It's crazy everyone rightly saying how justified that Shelvey's red was, yet as Rafa keeps pointing out Kane's tackle was way way more dangerous than the little tap Shelvey gave Alli, yet it's not a red because he didn't mean it and won the ball ?? Both were reds imo, so too was Ritchie's wacky lash out at Alli.
-
Lee Ryder is fantastic here is what he said about the tackle "Harry Kane’s challenge on Lejuene was shocking but he done enough to pick up just a yellow card and stay on the field. He knew the boundaries and how far he could push Andre Marriner." He concludes that it was PL know how that got Shelvey sent off and Kane stayed on. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/newcastle-0-2-tottenham-match-13471625

Clark was serviceable there, just like Dummett is, defensively sound, but from an attacking perspective it's not ideal and completely wastes our best CB. We need Calrk and the Capt to partner in the middle, if yedlin is back Manquillo can switch but if not, the alternatives are dreadful, Gamez is probably the best of a bad bunch.
-
It was reckless and way to hard, stupid, did he do it on purpose, I don't know doesn't really matter, it was a red card. completely irrelevant that he got the ball in the end, when a players legs are between him and the ball and he takes them out to get the ball that's a bloody foul every day of the week.
-
Think Stoke have spent less than us, but he right though with his general sentiment.
-
That's a serious one by the looks of it, doubt we'll see him again for a while, Clark and the Capt for the foreseeable, not sure who plays LB though. Hopefully we don't stick Clark there, wasted in my view.

How on earth can you judge Hayden and Ritiche after 1 game against a class Spurs side? Ritchie has already proven he is quality in the Premiership at Bournemouth. Total knee-jerk nonsense to doubt them in this division today. Reading comprehension ? Try it! Ritchie played the bulk of his career in the lower leagues, he's had one full season in the PL, in a Newcastle shirt he still has to prove he's got the quality. People are all too quick to write Shelvey off as not being able to make the step up, yet he's played a hell of a lot more games in the top flight than Ritchie. Ritchie today did nothing and should have been sent off for what was a shocking tackle, I think had Shelvey not gone moments before he would have been shown the red card himself. Ritchie is going to be one of our most important players this season. His drive is what we're going to need if we're in the bottom 6 come February. He got 4 goals and 6 assists with Bournmouth, he gets a similar return this season and its a respectable return. Football isn't just about ability, drive and determination is a large part of it, especially when you're at the bottom. If we'd had more players like him two years ago we wouldn't have got relegated. You can't judge a right winger after 90 minutes vs spurs, 40 of which were played with 10 men, when our game plan seemed obviously to be exploit their right back through atsu. Only thing he did wrong was not making a run into the box when atsu put it across. That would have made it 1-0. FYI: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,98837.msg6453923.html#msg6453923 So to recap: Thursday - Pundits are judging our players unfairly, these players have improved immensely under Rafa. Firmly believes we'll get beat, as Spurs are a class above us. Sunday - Judges Hayden and Ritchie after one match, they have it all to prove at this level. Panic stations about losing 2-0. Why are you quoting Louistoon, it's not his fault I'm a total spanner I was wrong and the pundits were right, at the minute, seriously dude don't take my words in any other form than concerned right now, I've been a little shocked in that performance that we are so far away from where I thought we were. That's all, I thought we would be comfortably safe this season and the pundits and those whinging on here were just over blowing things, now I've moved to a 6 so I'm more concerned that perhaps they were right and I was wrong. That's it, bi polar for sure but that's it, you can dispense with the stalking now Mate, we've just played one of.the best teams.in the league while suffering two injuries and a sending off, no idea what you were expecting. The team worked their bullocks off and while it might not have been great at times there were lots of positives. This game will not define our season. Go crack.open a can and relax. This is absolutely true and you absolutely need to take into account the quality of the opposition however like I keep saying, they didn't play anywhere near as well as they could, they were strolling through the match and if we are having to "work our bollocks off" as you point out just to hopefully hang on to a 0:0 that's not a great sign. This was our first game back in the PL, it was a special occasion we should have been up for it but whether it was nerves of whatever the players didn't perform. Gotta hope as the opposition gets a little easier we will get a lot better but we are going to need to improve a lot on that if we want to stay out of a relegation fight.

Really ? The game passed him by.

We have to play the same way that didn't work today against them, we did last season, give up possession and counter. We will have to obviously keep 11 players on the pitch this time and be a hell of a lot better offensively than we were today.
-
Yeah, afar is having a mare. Compete meltdown. Pretty sure he's a troll or clinically bipolar at this point. Check this out: Totally agree, I'm as cynical as the best if them, but ffs the amount of folks on here that seem to want to remove all possible hope from the season is crazy. Ashley is a dick, we have a squad with holes in it but we have a world class manager who can get the best out of players. Seriously this is about as good as it's been under Ashley, if you can't at least hope for a season where you can truly get behind the team, then why bother at all. Give up, go watch the darts or something. I mean, what the f***? Wow that's a lot of effort putting all that together good job. But you are right I do feel bi polar in the extreme right now, honestly my mistake was thinking before today that we weren't as bad as most folks on here were saying we were.

We would be like the mackems themselves if we refused to accept that they have had a canny start and have a much better chance of bouncing straight back up than all of us thought. They do need to fatten up that squad though which is paper thin and will get exposed once they get into the league games a week period.
