It wasn't a great win, it was a good result and a solid away performance against one of the weaker sides in the division. We did more than enough to beat them but will have to play a lot better than this when we come up against tougher opponents on the road.

It's shocking isn't it, what Bobby saw in that guy, heaven knows. Just finished watching the highlights again oon NUFC.TV, it's nice to hear the radio newcastle guys commentating. Anyway after the highlights ended there's a link to other random videos and the bottom row, consists of interviews with Pardew, Carver, McClaren and Sissoko, so glad none of those are still around the club today.

I should love this stadium, it's new modern, has a funky roof opening thing. But every time I see it both inside and out, I want to through up, so soulless and so ugly. Of course watching the Bama destroy the Seminoles there last week didn't help, I'm a big Gators fan but have a soft spot for all the Florida schools and can't abide Saban and Bama.

He was a very highly touted managerial prospect while at Ajax, I remember after Pardew left his name coming up and everyone said we had no chance of getting him. Went to Inter and was a disaster and now this does not look good on his CV. It's difficult to judge him at Ajax because they are the big fish in that league, like strikers in Holland, it's difficult to assess how they will do in the so called bigger leagues. One thing though, he was obviously given time at Ajax, clearly the system he likes to play will take time for the players to adapt too, both Inter and Palace obviously didn't have the patience to preserve with him and see if once bedded in his teams would be successful. Think it's going to be hard for him to regain his reputation now.

He just seemed very weak and a strange panic seemed to set in when he had the ball, tbh the West Ham game apart that's been his season so far. He was excellent against West Ham, not sure why he reverted back against Swansea, will be lucky to keep his place against stoke.
-
If West Ham lose today, Bilic might not be far behind.
-
Southampton are a bit of a mess too at the moment, this sacking may give them the "bounce" they need to beat them or it could have the opposite effect, if they don't get Hodgson in in time.. Then the next three games look rough before they come to us I think, hope we are not their first win of the season.

Pure sicko. He seems absolutely desperate to have a couple of friends, probably the type of weirdo that writes to Peados and Murderers when they're in jail. I said this the other day, that idiot wnats to delete his account or those regular poster on there Sima and Midds and whoever need to call him out for being a complete and utter spineless piece of crap. He's obviously on here too, why would someone who claims to be a toon fan create a id on that cesspool of a place and not the largest forum of the team he claims to support. Come on own up, who are you ?

Unfortunately this probably saves them, Hodgson has done a great job in similar circumstances in the past at WBA and Fulham. Hopefully though the England experience and the advancing years have changed him, of all the clubs in the division they are perhaps the team I would be most happy to see go down.
-
Just feel he's taking a spot in the team away from someone who could contribute more, a second striker or a third central midfielder would be more use to us that a player who clearly does not know how to be effective in the 10 role.
-
I thought he was excellent today, under rated because he came in from the cold, he was nowhere near the team, put on the opposite flank and locked it down, great link up with Atsu when he came on.
-
17 to go now, before he's ours.

This is tarnishing a great win, it seems like the only thing the pundits are talking about, once again. Shame not one of them is talking about Sanches's cowardly act, at all. It's like it never happened.

I said at the beginning of the season there is a lot of dross that with Rafa in charge I would be confident we could finish ahead, the Spuds game had me worried that the doom mongers on here were right all along, the Huddersfield game compounded that especially with the fear that we were offering so little from an attacking perspective. However the West Ham game and this Swansea game, has shown we have nothing to fear from, from the bottom sides in this division. I've been a 6 since Spuds and not changing, still a long way to go and I think we need a few players to play at a little higher level than today (Hayden, Perez, Murphy and even Ritchie) to keep picking up points. But from four games you take 6 points in our position.
-
Ritchie is lucky. right call though since no contact, yellow was right.
-
Perez didn't seem to know what to do there, Murphy too, that was a good chance.

Of course they are all clamouring for Merino to be banned and that the rules are wrong that he can't be. But no mention of Sanches incident.
-
Nah, it looked it live on TV but he took a dive. I'm expecting retrospective action for him. There can only be action if he was awarded the penalty.
-
What would have given a penalty for exactly ? No one is arguing that Merino should have been booked btw.
-
Of course the commentator doesn't even mention it
-
That's naughty from Sanches, wonder if they will look at that like Mitro's.
-
That is the way I would have started and I think we need to go, but I would'n play him as a traditional 10.
-
He just slipped, never a pen.
-
Sometimes Merino loses it a bit and distracts from his game, he did for the goal at Huddersfield and there again he ewent a bit mad.
-
It's a little too open now really, we need to go back to the horrible football of before. Hayden has looked a little dodgy to me today.
