We can not be pissed about WBA as long as we are winning we should enjoy our win..... -
Chris Hughton wants Sol Campbell to sign for Newcastle United Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton has confirmed that he is interested in setting up a reunion with former Tottenham colleague Sol Campbell. By Rob Stewart Published: 5:13PM GMT 03 Dec 2009 Free agent: Sol Campbell is much admired by former colleague and Newcastle United manager Chris Hughton Photo: REUTERS Hughton, a coach when Campbell was coming through the Spurs ranks, has told reporters that he is weighing up a move for the former England centre-half who has now become a free agent again following his departure from Notts County. Campbell, 35, has already expressed an interest in joining Newcastle United and Hughton has admitted he is one of a number of names that he is considering as he plans to strengthen his squad at St James' Park to maintain the Championship pacesetters' promotion push. Related Articles Roeder: Newcastle need to invest in new players Harewood wants to extend Newcastle stay Newcastle 3 Swansea 0 Gazza trains with Newcastle academy players to aid recovery Steven Taylor proud of Newcastle's resurgence Sport on television Hughton said: "Well Sol would be one of a number of players that, of course, we will be assessing over the next month because come the end of January we have to make sure that we have the right squad and the right players. Of course it is not only us that know about Sol's situation and it won't only be us who are interested. The most important thing for us is that in that last hour of the window that we have a squad in place that will take us through the last period of this season which will be a very demanding period. "It will also be a period where the other teams will be strengthening and deciding what they need as they address that last period of the season themselves. We have to make sure that we are right come that last day." Hughton was speaking ahead of this Saturday's game against Watford at St James' Park, which will give his team a chance to consolidate pole position in the promotion race. "Everyone is pulling in the right direction at the moment but what we have to make sure is that now we have gone through a phase in the season where everyone has done well and things have gone for us," Hughton added. "The only way we will be able to sustain our run is to be able to do the same things. That is the players lifting the supporters and the fans backing us in the way they have done. "We went through a period where we drew two games at home and lost twice away and it was always going to be about a reaction coming back from that and I could not have asked any more for the players. "The job is certainly better when you are winning matches but along with that comes the pressure of sustaining it."

The FA Cup 2009/10 - NUFC get Plymouth (a) in the third round

This season being in lower division our luck might change. In saying the draw might be fair to them until the semis or final. just like Millwall and Southhampton fair in recent years. Even WBA go all the way to the final. So we should treat it properly who knows we might end up one big game away to a destiny. -
It is true he use to say " I was the best paid scout in the world" Bobby did really well but after Cruiff he is very hard to follow. Nunns the chairman at the time get lots of abuse from cruiff lover media and when Van Gaal is available at the time the world best Manager because of his AJAX team he snapped him up. Bobby also decline a chance to manage us just after Keegan left that year by staying true to his contract. I always ask my self what would happen had Bobby followed Keegan....

I think we need at least one provin striker for next year. I would go for the Peruvian Jefferson Farfar. He is at Shalka now don't know how much he might worth?

I think people here are funny that include all of you who voted for Shola. I am not Shola hater but he is out for 4 month and how come he is our 1 one striker? The number 1 striker at this football club is Andy Carroll. It is not repution or any thing but currently he is NO 1.

I would be surprised if we get more than a single goal victory. Swansea is playing full flowing football and they are the current form side in the division. -
That must be the most stupidest and ridiculous comment i have ever had the misfortune to read on here comparing nile ranger to PETER BEARDSLEY you truly are a grade A f***ing idiot Well I assume you are a grade F Stupid cause what I said is he is very good in small amount of space to do drible. Since Beardsly we havn't seen any one in this football club who can do that. If you see this as comparison you are a MORON.

I wonder if Redknapp accepted our job offer in January 08? Where could we be right now? I am sure a whole better than where we are right now. The best English manager byt a mile.

England have Big chance this summer unlike any other time. The world cup is being help in southern hemisphear and it is gonna be chilly weather for the first time at the world cups. Plus Capello is such a canny coach he will give them at least 35% of extra advantage just by being him. Lippi is also great coach I don't rule his side out until the end of the world cup. This time four years ego we were talking the same thing about Italy's prosppect...

I can't belive how Bruce improved as a manager. His Sunderland team gave a good run for the top teams....

I can't wait until we sort out this... Great player we should have signed him before he goes to Portsmouth. We can get a good 1 and half year out of him or if lucky two and half year....
