I like it more than Everton's new stadium. Want it to look imposing and not where you'd expect to find a departure lounge.

Newcastle United vs. Fulham: 01/02/25 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

If we want 5th place to ease our PSR woes, this is must win before a torrid set of fixtures. Going for an uncomfortable 2-1. -
Today's prevailance of curved stadiums is to me just a more modern, costly version of the noughties identikit stadium trend. Would honestly prefer a flashier version of Milburn and Leazes to all four sides and some some nice big exposed cantilevers.
-
Reading Aston Villa are set to pocket £70m through this new CL format? Fuck me, that could give them a massive PRS advantage over us over the new few seasons.
-
Huge opportunity for the city or not, I expect Newcastle City Council planners, Freeman of the City, and local NIMBY groups to cause extensive delays or even force us to remain at St James.
-
£65m for Duran and what, £40m to reach the CL last 16? That's an extremely profitable season so far for Villa. Can't be sure if the Duran sale is good or bad in terms of us trying to compete with them for 3rd-5th in the years ahead.
-
£60m for Watkins is outrageous. I'd put him at £40m. But what do I know about the market. Hopefully that chart showing Villa massively breaching UEFA cost controls is correct, and they're unable to afford the salary of a replacement.
-
We could potentially have a full squad available next month. Just imagine that Poor Wilson will probably ruin it though.
-
We're certainly closer to the likes of Leicester and Brentford than we are Arse, Chelsea and Liverpool though.
-
Main conversation should be squad cost rules now surely? If and when our 3 year rolling PSR period improves, squad cost limits means we either have to grow revenue or sell players before we bring anyone in. Profit and losses are irrelevant. And that assumes pay for our purples remains static. If Isak, Bruno and Tonali demand an extra 200K per week between them, we almost certainly can't afford to grow the squad.
-
I thought any additional spending risks breaching the new 70% squad cost rule? So incomings must be funded by outgoings until we grow revenue.
-
Should we really be clearing out the likes of Targett, Kelly and Longstaff? Unless we're brining in direct replacements who improve on these, we need these squad players for cover and early round cup games. It's not like our squad is well padded out.
-
Give it a couple of weeks, the typical BBC match report will be like 'Arsenal target Isak combined brilliantly with Manchester City target Sandro Tonali...'
-
Not just revenue, but I'd expect global fan base for the breakaway 6 (even inc. Spurs) are miles ahead of every other club as well. The Premier League probably sees it as commercially desirable to keep those teams at the top.

Match cam up

Hold on, Bournemouth have been better than over the past 50 games?!
-
Cmon City, please give Chelsea a proper c*nting in the second half
-
That Bournemouth manager will be on the watch list for Man U and Spurs
-
If we were up against Bournemouth again today, it would have been another battering without the excuse of fatigue.
-
Bournemouth 4-0 wow They could get ahead of us in Feb with the schedule we have
-
Jesus christ we need some fresh blood
-
