If we want to piss them off and jeopardise the deal, yeah sure!
-
Yeah, there's definitely a scenario where we end up with Ramos and Isak. Think the Isak or Wissa thing will go right to the wire and will be this summer's big transfer window drama.
-
Yes, I could see this being the case. However, in the meantime I could see us signing another striker, like we were on our way to doing with Sesko. The Isak move will then be directly tied to what happens with Wissa. We will not go into the season without a striker that isn't already comfortable scoring goals in the Prem, and it looks like it will either be Isak or Wissa.
-
You guys pay too much attention to celebrations and post match interviews.

Looking like the preference is Wissa and Ramos if Isak leaves. PSG are asking £50 million for Ramos apparently. With that in mind I'd probably go up to £45 million for Wissa and throw in some add-ons too. Getting the pair for that combined outlay would be fine.

This signing is so vital IMO, particularly if Isak leaves. We will need the guaranteed goals this fella has delivered playing striker in the Prem. He's also good enough to start, but won't be averse to being more of a rotation option later down the line if we sign another younger prospect that starts to come to the fore. He can also play down either wing. Really think this is one we have to find a way to get done.

What did you make of Richarlison's performance on the whole? I could kind of see him having a bit of a resurgence and be a serviceable back up under Frank, looks like you got more crosses into the box which he benefitted from. Or do you think you'll still look to move him on and get another striker in to rotate with Solanke?

Arsenal were really bad today, shockingly so. Was sure Man Utd would manage at least a point, but despite looking particularly dangerous in transition they weren't able to capitalise. Ironically, I think this kind of opposition that pushes high up the pitch against them will suit them better, but the problem is most teams aren't going to setup like that against them and give them those kind of opportunities to counter. I'm looking forward to watching them when they lineup against more run of the mill teams, as I'm not certain they'll look as much of a threat as they did today. Don't think their central midfield players do a good enough job of getting the ball into their attacking players outside of counter attacks.

Not got as much of a mention but thought Zubimendi was a bit ordinary and also a bit soft. Was a big reason they weren't able to control the game. Both Wirtz and Zubimendi in their first games seemed to struggle with the physicality and pace. Be interesting to see how quickly they can make the adjustment.

Thought Sesko was a bit of an invisible man after he came on. Seems quite passive. Hard to believe he was on the pitch for 30 mins. Didn't make his presence felt or get involved at all. Hope that's his standard disposition. Very quiet.

Having watched a good number of games this weekend I like the way we are stacking up. Just get the strikers in and hopefully another midfield option and we are golden.
-
Arsenal just pathetically soft. Love going to the ground and looking at the ref. So infuriating.

I think Odegaard has made a mess of every single thing he's tried so far today.
-
The Gyokeres roasting all week is going to have Arsenal fans losing their minds man.
-
When you think of the money these teams have spent the last couple of summers, it's difficult to make sense of what it was spent on at times.
-
Oh my goodness ... The state of Gyokeres so far man. Did he miss a bunch of pre season while quarrelling with Sporting?! He looks unfit and untidy. Been all over the place.
-
Arsenal look awful.
-
This Martinelli guy man ... Arsenal look unimpressive. They are so careless and are making poor decisions.
-
Why is Martinelli still starting for Arsenal man.
-
So bad from Odegaard man.
-
Ah, right. Heard some reporting that he'd been dropped.
-
And yet they dropped Onana for him today. Onana didn't even make the bench
-
He had to come on as one of the 8s yesterday because Willock is injured and Ramsey wasn't available and I'm not sure he'll still be used there going forward now. He looked so good in the deeper midfield position over the pre season that I really hope that he plays there now instead.
