Think Villa are going for a bit more experience, as their squad was a bit naïve last season. They really do need to be careful who they bring in though.

 

Senderos and Joe Cole are quite uninspiring it has to be said, however, I would still expect Lambert to get more out of them than Fulham and West Ham did. Particularly Cole, who will at least receive the ball to his feet a few times a game now.

I did, which is why I used the word few. I also saw West Ham, and they were significantly worse. They're midfielders are largely pointless in any attacking sense.

Really unfortunate that he did what he did. I mean I just couldn't imagine it myself. Fine to celebrate the goal a bit, and the wins, but the taunting was just ill advised.

Think deep down he felt he would never be good enough to play for Newcastle, it's the only reason I can think of, and so he felt justified being a bit of a tool, almost because he felt frustrated by that. it was incredibly short sighted by the young dude.

Bet he couldn't believe when he got contacted by the club. Well, he's made his bed, and so he'll have to lie in it. As a player, I definitely remember seeing him do some good things, and boy will he have to make a positive impact to get people onside. Good luck to him, he'll need it massively.

If we sign Gomis, we still need another striker, a winger, a centre back, a right back, and a creative midfielder.

I think if we get Gomis, not sure we would need another striker. I'd like us to instead focus on then getting an attacking midfielder that can score and pass, as well as a winger that can cross and score too.

We should then look to use Gomis, Cisse and Gouffran as our main strikers, with Perez hopefully being good enough to feature some also.

Gomis man, clearly not being offered the type of money he thought he would be as a free agent. Looks like he's come all the way back around to us now. We might have a chance.

How fat is Rooney in that add? 

IMO Jenas was a better player as a teenager than he was any other time in his career. As he got older he doubted himself, stopped running forward and started to play defensive. He basically pardewed himself, however always had a good shot on him regardless allowing him to keep amongst the goals and a threat. Once his legs went through injury he didn't get in those positions around the box which meant the goals dried up.

 

A crisp passer of the ball, just became afraid to do anything with it, lost his belief and tried to become a team player.
