Let's further analyse the mindset of Pardew ...
Feels we lack pace, and so? Plays Shola upfront for 90 mins.
-
This is all you need to know that not enough will be done.
"However, the manager warned that while the club's need is great, their financial model will govern what they are able to do."
I don't even worry about the financial model being a restriction anymore, as we continue to sign really good players.
What is of concer now is the numbskull in charge of the team.

Berba?
Berba isn't quick and he isn't a target man, Pards is talking Obertan like pace and none of those players mentioned in other posts have that type of pace.
Pards is describing Remy if you actually read the full quotes.
Not too many people have Obertan like pace though. He was just using him as an example.
Remy does make sense though.
Pardew is a nitwit.
Ben Arfa and Marv can clearly go through the gears too.
The guy is just talking trash.

Tbf it doesn't mean we want to hoof....
For one thing he mentioned pace and no hoofball merchant is pacey.....
Odd thing to say.
Name a target man around who is quick, Drogba was the only one in recent years and he had much more to his game than your standard target man.
Lukaku and Benteke, just off the top off my head.
Lukaku is not that quick. Not sure if he's any quicker than Cisse, really.
Don't be fooled by his frame! That guy can motor trust me.
-
My examples are better than Ronaldo's. The guy is struggling tbh

Adebayor is another one ...

Transformed Liverpool
Before they beat Sunderland and QPR they was in bottom half and have been all season
He's had a good couple of results but lets not jerk that knee too hard yeah?
Yes, completely transformed the way they play for sure.
Did you watch Dalglish's team last season?
How can you even dispute it? They were terrible. It was an absolute joke.
No surprise Suarez is looking even better this season, as they get the ball to him in far better areas, because they actually pass it more.
You won't be laughing for much longer I assure you. They're definitely on the up.

When he is able to put out the following side with the following bench then and only then should he be judged
...................Krul................
Debuchy...Taylor...Colo.....Santon
...............Anita.....Tiote............
HBA................Cabaye..........Marv
..................Cisse.......................
Jonas
Simpson
Shola
Bigi
Taylor
Willo
New CF
Guess what sucker!
He'll never put that team out, even when they're all fit! That's where he keeps fucking up.
Jonas will find a way in there instead of Marv. Perch will find a way int here instead of Anita. God knows what other nonsensities he will manufacture.
He's clueless, and will continue to prove to be.

Was always uncomfortable with the mocking of Rodgers on here in the summer.
Clearly a far better manager than the imbercile in charge of Newcastle at the minute.
I look at our players against Liverpools, and can't for th elife of me understand how they are 11 points clear of our team.
Disgraceful.
He's not that good, because he's better than Pardew don't mean hes worthy of praise.
The guy is good.
Completely transformed a Liverpool team that was playing some putrid football under Dalglish.
His main signing Joe Allen, has been a huge part of it too. Liverpool's talented youngsters, previously buried in the reserves, are also playing with confidence under him.
Could really see Sturridge being brilliant for Liverpool. Rodgers will just let him play with freedom.

Oh and I called Pardew a lesser version of Sven-Göran Eriksson last season but got loads of stick. The man is a replica, when everything is going well he's very good but he can't change a match. He doesn't have that ability, just like Sven.
My Lord ... what an insult to Sven-Göran Eriksson.

I thought we looked better when Bigi came on. Our midfield was shambles yesterday until the point he came on and Obe wasn't really having a great game. Right before he was subbed off he had the only really good run of the game. It's just to easy to defend him, lacks intelligence and Jagielka was showing him inside and then outside all the time as he knew Obe would try to make a terribly slow dribble on him. It's just too easy, and doesn't really deserve to be starting. A 10-15minute sub apperance is where it's at. His speed can be great for counter attacking and when there is more space on the field to attack. In tight areas he just lacks the natural talent to succeed.
I swear you didn't watch the game. Not even a second of it.
-
Just been looking at their form - they've only won 4 from 13 at home this season and 2 of their last 10 home and away.
Excellent chance for a morale-boosting win, some goals for Cisse and a clean sheet.....
Instead, we'll all be fuming at the fact a side in such poor form has battered us.

Shola is a nice guy, and behind the scenes I'm sure everyone loves him.
I'm sure he does a great jo of stroking the managers ego, and is a right teacher's pet.
However, this is no reason to play him! As some sort of buddy buddy love in.
The guy should only be coming on when all else has failed and hell has frozen over.
-
Imagine if he was given a chance to thread some of those quality passes to Cisse, rather than the sloth that is Shola.
I remember one lovely through ball to Shola that ended up looking awful due to Sholas incredibly late reaction time and complete lack of pace.
-
Really great to hear the crowd encourage him when he got the ball too.
You could just see him trying more things everytime he got the ball, as he got more and more confident.
Probably the worst decision ever to then take him off.
Pardew is grossly inadequate.

Just watched his NUFCtv interview
Hit the nail on the head about everything
-pretty much said Simpson is gash. Santon not being helped because he is out only offensive fullback. Gives him chance to concentrate in defending more
- Baines and Fellaini the difference
- not right for a club as big as this to have that bench last night even though Bigi and Sammy did well
- we need 3 players
- spirit and effort were there, just lack experience and more 'good' players
And so what does this all have to do with starting Shola upfront and Cisse on the right?
The guy is a fraud. I'd honestly have confidence in a good number of posters on here doign a much better job.
Our players are seriously underated I reckon.
Our defence is really the only are where we are desperate for additions.
However we have enough quality attackers to put serious pressure on the opposition, which would actually give our defence more of a break, and not invite as much pressure onto them.
To think we could still have potentially had a front three of Obertan, Cisse and Marv, with Tiote Anita and Bigi, despite all these injuries we keep hearing about.
Lining up this way would have allowed us better posession, and play, which would have eased pressure on our defence.
Instead he allows Baines and Pienaar the easiest of nights by having Cisse tracking back there, and then Shola up top not working hard enough and keeping posession well enough.
How does he not realise this invites pressure onto our team on the whole and the defence more importantly?
-
Gouffran was mentioned yesterday, and would be a decent pick up. Bit more experienced too at 26. Plays on either wing or upfront.
-
Debuchy, must be pulling out of this clown show as we speak.
-
This is an embarrassment.
-
This is just extraordinary.

Cabaye seems more of a Xabi Alonso type, certainly.
