I really really like Macheda. Would rather buy him outright or fix a fee and think he's got it in him to be a quality striker. Rather we bought him than Obertan.

I agree with your point that we could do with a different type of striker.

If for whatever reason we are not able to identify a faster, more mobile striker, and we then get Chamakh. I think it's a good move.

Key for Santon at NUFC will be letting him develop. Skills obv, but had rough time. Prob worth the gamble IMO, but likely long-term project.
