We were linked with Kalimuendo this summer. He's actually quite comparable to Wissa, and so I imagine he's on the list. Prem experience is taking priority first though.
-
Wissa at 28, Isak at 25 and Osula at 22 is a nice mix. I think the main thing with Wissa is that the salary won't be massive, and we will be keeping a close eye on wages, especially if we'll be looking to give Isak a new deal. The Wissa deal cannot surpass £40 million at the absolute max though, so will depend on whether we can negotiate with them.

He wasn't playing upfront when Toney was there.
-
Currently on £25,000 a week at Brentford too, which likely contributes massively to why this is seen as an attractive option.
-
Wissa was absurdly good last year.
-
If Trafford is really this keen, all he'll have to do is reject the Man City approach then. If not though, then he can go back to Man City.
-
And yet! Despite all the chaos, the progress has been pretty extraordinary right?! The club was an absolute shit show under Mike Ashley, and so getting it right was never going to be without some issues here and there. Honestly, it could be so much worse than this. I think Eddie may need to have gone through what he has so far this summer, to be a tad more open minded going forward, when it comes to the DOF coming in, and also perhaps the kind of players we look at. All part of the process. Lets let it marinate.
-
He'll probably then get info on Congolese players due to the Belgium ties.

They were all complaining when we went for him last summer and said he was shit Now he had a good season and Man City have scuppered the deal, they're complaining about us not getting the deal done previously
-
At some point people are going to have to move past last summer though. That's why Mitchell left as soon as the season ended, so everything wouldn't be laid at his doorstep again, and Howe and his guys would not feel infringed upon in any way. It's nothing like last summer. People wanted Howe fully in charge. Now he's doing it fully his way and it's not like they imagined or anticipated, surprise surprise they're still complaining again! Howe is very particular about what he wants and he's not going to move on as quickly from his main targets as people want, he's also going to try his best to get them even if it means losing out to other teams. Think folks are just going to accept that is how he operates.
-
The problem is if it goes badly you could end up still struggling to shift him even with the perceived re-sale value. You're seeing that now with Hojlund. You lot really need to get in someone with some experience up front IMO.
-
At some point they will switch to alternative targets that are more straightforward to get, but they're clearly not ready to do so yet. No matter how much people moan about it.
-
Man Utd looking at Sesko?! Yet another young striker that needs some further development in a good environment, and where there are also other reliable options up front to take some pressure off. Instead he'll be thrown into the fire like Hojlund was. Are they seriously going to do this all over again?!
-
Then no deal. They'll tell him some lies and throw enough money at him to where he won't turn it down though.
-
It's not just Man City interest. It's a buy back clause.
-
Then Man City can keep him.

Ha! I bet this is tied to us refusing to sell Tino to them.
