  1. YES!!! Great patient play from Barnes down the right. Woltemade scores!!!
  2. I really like this setup man. There's a rhythm to the team's play that just seems far more convincing.
  3. Liverpool pretty much get Champions League. Brighton have shat the bed at the death. Piss off!
  4. Yes, did you watch the last game? It's the same starting setup.
  5. Sunderland are going to get Europe. Can Brighton please just win this so Liverpool still have a chance of getting knocked out of the Champions League for goodness sake!
  6. He's playing as the second striker/10 today, just off Osula.
  7. The 4-3-3 has been awful all season. Woltemade has not worked upfront in his setup and Barnes has been poor on the left of late this season. He absolutely should not be going with that setup still.
  8. Doubt it. Ramsey came on in the left wing position and Barnes in the right wing position last game, and they both combined for the goal in that setup. Also, Barnes has actually been better on the right this season. Has still scored goals from there and doesn't have to work as hard to create space to put a ball in the box as he can just whip them in first time without trying to cut in first.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Nusa is talented, and looks great on the eye. However, he's also not been very productive and when I've seen him he can also be a bit flimsy. Goes to ground looking for fouls a bit too often for my liking. Still young though and so can still improve in those areas. Don't think he'd come in as a starter right away though.
  10. Another fantastic pass and assist from Anderson. Great finish from MGW.
  11. These refs are not serious man
  12. Delicious ball in from Anderson.
  13. Yeah, I thought that as well. Outdid the questions journalists in the UK have been asking him all season, in just one interview

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Absolutely have to bring in someone else on the right that can be the first team option, and this doesn't necessarily mean spending a huge amount either. Elanga just has to be seen as more of a bench/rotation option that they continue to work with to improve, like they ultimately did with Murphy previously, as they clearly weren't prepared enough to better fit him into the current Newcastle team based off of how he was used at Forest where he attacked open spaces in transition. Even though the Newcastle team doesn't sit back and counter as much, you'd think they'd at least try to ensure when he gets the ball on the right they'd stop having the 8 on that side and the full back on his side keep crowding his space and bringing more defenders into that area, but no.
  15. Random interview but some interesting bits.

If they're looking to move on from Murphy this summer then they're taking this rebuild even more seriously than anticipated.

Nice! Wouldn't be surprised to see a bid come in for Tonali that they're expecting, if they are advancing on this.
  18. After what they've had this year with Slot trying to play so differently from Klopp and how badly it's gone, now would be the ideal time for someone to come in that returns more to that sort of style Klopp played. I think the players and the crowd would all get behind it. Really hoping they don't look at Iraola at all personally. Have a bad feeling it would go really well.
  19. Yup. That style of play just needs a decent squad and a manager that isn't afraid to rotate his players and use the full squad. He's done that this year at Bournemouth, who have put together a pretty decent squad with options at each position.
