Murphy can't go past anyone

Murphy is so irritating. Why did he refuse to put the ball into the box just then? Just to turn around and pass it backwards yet again?

Formation is just too narrow. The wing backs aren't taking anyone on one on one, and they have no wide players ahead of them to play the ball to. Why not just stick with the formation we had last week and keep working on that?

Willock has to be the worst tackler in the whole team. Never seen anything like it. Just runs past people and flicks at the ball and misses it.

Man ... this team selection. Was quite looking forward to seeing more of Barnes on the right, and could have easily had Murphy at right back instead to see how that looks too, and if that is viable, if he didn't want to play Trippier for whatever reason. This Hall at right back thing is horrific IMO. And there's absolutely no need to still be playing Murphy at right wing at this stage of the season for goodness sake. We've seen enough of that at this point. No need to say anything about Dan Burn at left back. Crazy this is still being done even with the season essentially over. Imagine if he gets injured and jeopardises his World Cup place. Weird.

Yeah, it's definitely a bit weird. Also seen a number of comments in the article and outside of it going on about his "rehearsed" celebration, and him pulling out the glove. In the extended match highlights you can actually see the glove was thrown at him from the crowd. He didn't have it hidden in his sock as some kind of prop or planned thing!

Bayern Munich have increased their efforts to sign Anthony Gordon following an endorsement from England manager Thomas Tuchel. According to sources in Germany, Tuchel personally supported the move during discussions with Bayern's sporting director, Max Eberl. A significant difference in valuation remains between the clubs. Newcastle insists on a fee of at least £75 million, while Bayern’s current valuation is thought to be approximately £20 million less than that amount. Sources indicate that Bayern are optimistic that negotiations can progress in the coming weeks. Gordon is reportedly more attracted to the possibility of moving to Bavaria. We've been linked with some very young CBs. We may well bring one in to bed in with the view of eventually taking over from Burn/Schar next season.

As we won't be in Europe think this is a good move. Botman and Thiaw with Burn and Schar as more experienced options is perfectly fine.
