Should have started, c***s, the lot of em
Agreed, though gotta be a kick up the arse for Pancrate or he'll be tugged off at half time again.
Pancrate isn't starting either. It's Danny G on the right.

Oh boy ...
Thought we were due a bit of negative press.
-
This is extremely cruel for Palace mind you.
If their not allowing saleable assets to play then I'm very surprised Clyne and Ambrose are out there!
-
No Victor Moses?! Sweet.
Why?
And why's Williamson playing? Thought he supposed to be back up.
Huh?

Is he any bloody good?
Not really. Couldn't even get a run out for Portsmouth ...

Top of the league and signing players that will improve the team so be happy.
Appreciate the fact that financially the club is strong and we are seemingly heading straight back up (fingers crossed!).
I think in the current climate the cronies at least deserve credit for the financial state of the club.
I will say though, even if we go up I would expect us to continue to make similar signings as we have been in this window, with a few slightly more expensive signings in more important areas such as an established striker.
Think they will continue to target talent from the lower leagues with potential to step up, good players who are in the final year of their contracts, young talent from abroad etc. That sort of vibe really. Let's see what they can come up with. If and when it fails then we can have a good moan about it.
Be happy?
The past two years have been will have been a lesson to all how not to go about running a football club - lies, underhand deals with agents, employing mates, employing yes men, selling key players at silly times, taking huge gambles which could've potentially ruined the club etc. I could go on.
The club isn't financially strong either. It's on a precipice. We're relying on the parachute payments and we need promotion, hence the reason they actually need to spend.
They're not exactly cleaning up a mess they inherited any more, they made this mess for themselves.
The players deserve credit, Chris Hughton deserves credit, the fans deserve credit. MA and DL deserve f*** all.
What's done is done. I'm just happy, yes happy, the club hasn't gone tumbling down further, which could have easily happened.
Fair enough, but respect my right to still be f***ing furious
Sure thing. It's respected.

Burnley have signed Leon Cort from Stoke for £1.5mil
WOAH!
They actually paid money for him?!
Eeeew! That's just a disgusting move.

From a QPR supporting friend from another board:
On his day, great. His day's are few and far between though. I predict he'll play very well for you for the next month and then fade away. But you only really need him to ensure you go up, and then you'll replace him with better, so can't see how it can fail for your team.As for why we sold him. It's Flavio and Co, so I have no idea :sorry: Less than 1m is still a profit on what we paid and I believe we get another half million when you go up. Other clauses as well, but I don't think he'll play enough times for us to get that money.
Is that supposed to be a negative?
No in the short term, but yes in the long run.
No player is brilliant every single game. He will be just fine in the long run.

He's been relegated to the role of team mascot it seems.
-
Just under a million for Routledge? Wow ...
Anyone figured out what QPR are doing yet?
Maybe Briatore has decided he's taking his money and leaving. Very strange stuff from them.

The sale of assets will have to be rapid, with the transfer window due to close next Monday. Palace have been asking £3 million for Victor Moses, the winger, but although a number of clubs, including Nottingham Forest, are interested, they have received only one offer of £1.25 million from West Bromwich Albion. A quick repeat of that offer to the administrator may now secure the player.
WTF?!
Can we please get in on that?!
Forest are reported to have bid £2m. What side does he play on, right or left?
Right, left, behind the front man and striker as far as I know. Very versatile attacking player.
-
Williamson deal falling through then? Sonko will do me, big powerful and tall.
Nah, just think it's more likely that Taylor's injury is long term and so we had to get another CB in addition to Williamson, as when Taylor was fit we were after a CB anyway.

Tell you what, don't want to keep banging on, so let's reconvene here in May and see how it went.
No biggie. Just expressing my point of view. Just feel there were a lot of other reasons why he would have been so poor then. We can only hope for the best afterall.
If we don't get Vaughan can we have Delfouneso by the way?
That boy is so promising.
Yup, seems like it would be a good time for him to get more games on loan, but O'Neill doesn't seem too thrilled by the idea.
-
Just messing with you guys. I know nothing about Ofere, but if he is what you both say he is then I hope we don't get him. If we do I hope he magically becomes Torres somehow.
The link keeps on surfacing though, and so you have to wonder why. Unfortunately our striking options are rather slim with Beckford and Harewood falling through. Not sure Everton will let Vaughan leave either so ...

As I said before, even when he joined Villa he had been inactive for yonks, after being messed about by Tottenham, and he was also coming off an injury.
It's not as though when they bought him he had been flying at his previous club or anything. His confidence was shattered at that point he was at his absolute lowest when he went to Villa. They didn't exactly bring him in for the first team either so what was his spur or motivation really. I doubt he felt he had a real chance. Just another experience as he had just had at Pompey and Fulham. The odd appearance here and there.
Your being harsh Brummie so quit it. I recall very well his first year in the prem with Palace, as I used to live near the area and he was very good. A lot of clubs were after him at the end of that season don't forget. Tottenham just messed him around big time.
Over the summer people were writing off both Boateng and Kaboul! Boateng didn't have a squad number last year! He's twice the player Jenas is!

I think we might sign that Ofere lad, just a hunch.
Really hope not! As i said, a bad version of Ameobi.
Oh stop it! You just don't want us to sign your favourite Swedish league player you big softie.
He's s***, I'd be less disappointed with a 33 year old Steffen Iversen tbh.
You guys are so torn up about this huh ... don't worry he'll bring some prestige to the Swedish league once he comes over and scores 20 a season. Don't be so emotional about this.
-
Email that to the club tbh.
Even the £3 million asking price seems excellent value for a talented young 18 year old.
Weird ...

Another injury?! This is tragic for Palace.
We'd better win this.
