Yeah, just happens to coincide with the first time we've faced a decent side in ages.

 

Perhaps our much-vaunted defence isn't as good as some would like to make out, it's just that we've been playing against utter muppets for 90% of our matches so far.

Any side with midfielders who are mobile will absolutely demolish us. Simple as that. Not sure it has anything to do with our defence to be honest.

This is just a flashback to last season. Midfielders running free at our defence in addition to the other teams attackers and they are being overwhelmed.

Considering the tempo of the first half, I would imagine our central midfielders legs are just about shot to pieces at this point. Seeing as they barely had any legs in the first place. This half should be quite nauseating.

Nolan is strictly a goalscorer for us, so just have him play just behind the striker, which we did earlier in the season with some success.

Guthrie and Smith in the centre would be a much healthier proposition. We could then have R. Taylor providing some good delivery from the right or Pancrate providing randomness.

This Nolan thing is really beginning to bother me you know ... almost beginning to irk me just as much as Butt did last season.

Should we go up, you just know Nolan will be straight into the team next season too, seeing as he has been so 'important' for us this season.

The guy is only even half useful if we cover him with two other midfielders in the centre. When is Barton back again? He could be very crucial as far as that goes.

In reality it's somewhat annoying though isn't it. Yes, he has been scoring the goals, but one has to wonder how much better we would play with a more active/mobile/alive human being in there instead.

I imagine the whole team on the whole would function much better and more goals would come from everywhere in general.

Smith is going to get frustrated with having so many midfielders to deal with as Nolan can't get back and he will start flying in recklessly as are his immature and wanna be hardman ways.

We really ought to consider sacrificing one of the strikers and having Nolan play off of one striker. Our midfield just won't hack this.

They're absolutely killing us when they're coming forward. Pace, movement and players with a good touch and we can't handle it.

Okay so we didn't manage to get Beckford in. How about a loan move for Gio Dos Santos of Spurs? He'd be a good option upfront, and could be a potential signing if he does well and we end up back in the premier league.

We've already seen Boateng make a huge leap since being given a chance outside of Tottenham, and the same could even be said for Kaboul too, and even O'Hara. Would really like us to try for Gio who also did well while on loan at Ipswich last season lets not forget.

Would be a far more intriguing and potentially fruitful move than bringing Harewood back.

Really don't think he's good enough for a PL campaign. I don't really care what the players think of him as most of them need getting rid as well. We don't want to be bottom 4/5 12 games in still wondering about Hughton.

If we are going to bother with getting rid of Hughton then I would rather go for someone more established than Shearer. Going down was the ideal time to give Shearer his shot, but unfortunately it didn't happen for whatever reason.

If we are making a change next season I wouldn't mind us making a play for Sven. I'm sure by then he would have been completely fed up with the weird goings on at Notts County.
