Feel sorry for Richarlison like, obviously mentally fragile and just on a massive downer at the moment.

I think if they stick with him he'll come good, but if another striker comes in and does well it will be tough for him.

Pretty sure the player himself pronounces it like that. He has lived his whole life in Europe, it's not unusual for pronunciation to change and/or be assimilated into linguistic norms of that country.

Yeah, I get it. I've pretty much acknowledged that in my last post.

It just gets to the point you let people go with how they naturally pronounce it, and just stick with that.

That’s how the player has told them to pronounce it.

He's from the same region in Nigeria I'm originally from and that is not how that name is pronounced

I totally get it though. We all have to give a watered down pronunciation a lot of the time.

Fair play to them, Spurs have looked decent.

It doesn't half help when Bournemouth have allowed Maddison the freedom of the vitality stadium mind.

Did they end up completing that deal for Tyler Adams?

Looks like they need that type of player in there after losing Lerma.

A Brentford without Toney and Man Utd at home isn’t a massively difficult game based on their away record

    Sheesh. Dunno about that man.

Wissa and Mbuemo are still a handful, and that game was at Brentford too.

Man Utd look super dodgy, but it's still Man Utd and they had decent chances that game, but Spurs came through it.

Not worried too much about spurs until they have played a good side. Has a relatively comfortable start to the season.

Spurs have played Brentford and Man Utd already man.

Could do without Spurs being decent again like.

Yeah man. The signs are looking good for them though.

If Kane had stayed and been a part of this  that would have been very very worrying.

That's a bit good by Maddison.

All about the ball from Sarr.

Maddison looks great for Spurs though. Very comfortable running the show with Bissouma in this system.

Conte is a complete lunatic for not using Bissouma. Just crazy.

This is my take on it. Howe already hinted business was more or less done. I think would have to be a long term target becoming available to change that, and none of the names I'm hearing strike me as that.

Nico is definitely a long term target. And fits incredibly well with the sort of player that would slot in as an alternative to Almiron on that right side.

I don't disagree, but the key part in there was we won't be spending £40m on a CB cover in this window. So there's little point in lusting after what you can't have. If we can sell him and get someone in on loan who can do a similar job then fine, but I don't see it.

Wasn't there talk that our FFP concerns were mostly centred around wages at the minute? Rather than transfer fees we'd be paying out?

Lascelles and Fraser going out knocks a fair bit off wages wise. Would probably be what we'd expect to pay two younger talents from the continent.

  11. Just had another look at Nico Williams fbref for a reminder and the defensive numbers check out. Makes a ton of sense. Very well suited to our pressing game, which Moussa Diaby's defensive numbers didn't line up with.

Not the first time Williams has been mentioned is it? Certainly seems to be a long term target.

Was being mentioned as far back as when we signed Gordon. Apparently did the Gordon deal back then because it was more possible due to his issue at the club with the fans.

Looks like Nico is the right side option we want and we will move when it is most feasible, just like how we waited for the opportunity for Isak to open up.

If it’s true I really hope he gets a massive send-off. Seriously underrated captain and bloke. I accept it was probably a great deal for him and his talent level but he did some very useful things in some very shit times to stop things getting shitter.

Yeah, he's been a class act his whole time here.

Yeah, that's what I was saying can't see him displacing Bowen or Antonio up front and so I assume they know Paqueta is going to be getting a long ban. Up until that gets sorted though, Kudus doesn't really fit elsewhere for them.

  15. Oooh!

That's big news. Definitely getting a centre back if he leaves.

Sounds like he's up for the move too. Not a bad move for him either. Could see him doing really well in Turkey.

They are in the Champions League too right?
