No that's fair, but that could be the path to a 1-0 win for a lesser side.

My point is more, everyone was willing to hail De Zerbi as the next elite coach, but in reality, this season was going to present a lot of new challenges that he hasn't faced before. That's why I wanted to see what, if any, tweaks he'd make to his system to make it more robust tactically.

It would appear he's just running it back, which may well work against the bottom bunch who lack quality, but West Ham have that quality and they've shown a lot of teams how to approach a trip to Brighton.

    Just one game man.

Moyes is good at this sort of rigid setup to stifle teams, and has some really good defensive players.

Brighton will still have their way with lots of teams.

Nah, Moyes is shite, man. That's all I keep hearing.

Heard it all summer on here because of his signings.

But they were Moyes ball signings and he always does well with those.

    Not missing Rice at all.

Leverkusen have been brilliant first half against Gladbach, should be 5 or 6 up. Only 2 up doesn't reflect the game at all.

Alonso looking like he's going to be a top manager.

There's already nearly a decade of evidence to characterise him as a player.

I hear you. Lots of wasted years for him unfortunately. Should have pushed for a move.

Hated the system and role he played at Southampton in his time there. Limited him a lot.

Just looking forward to seeing him used how he is today. Think he will show a lot more.

    "Great" seems a bit strong.

If he stays fit this year and stays in this position he's in today, he's going to rack up the goals and assists and opinions will change very quickly.

On the limited pre and post-Man U games I've seen Onana play, I'm not convinced like. People rave about his passing, but I can't see it. He seems like another De Gea.

His passing is really very good.

Far far better than De Gea with the ball at his feet too.

  7. The funniest thing about the Man United thing is that the whipping boy Mount is not playing today. At least he can press defensively.

Casemiro and Eriksen in there is not good as far as legs go defensively.

    Ah-wo-ni-yi.

I feel Kaka's pain, as a Yoruba man, hearing this boys name mentioned by commentators is consistently annoying.

To be honest I think a lot of us can be lazy in taking the time to explain.

A lot of the names look more complicated than the actual pronunciations really are.

Reckon he’ll be better than Babayaro?

Babayaro liked a good time man. Very unserious guy.

This kid is just 20 still and looked great at Udinese and has slotted into the Prem and Spurs seamlessly, playing this inverted role that is completely opposite to what he's done previously as a flying overlapping wing back. He looks scary good.

Think he breaks into the Italian team this season.
