  1. This is truly the highest level of insult you could have bestowed upon Edmilson. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You sir are out of order.
  2. Sounds like he and his wife have split up recently and she's taken the kids down to London. One of the Peruvian sites say "ex wife" and another says he's separated as well. Aaaah I see ... in that case will moving down to London really help his situation? Nout like a woman scorned you know! Doubt he will be seeing those kids much anyway. Should have kept his trumpet in his brief ... case.
  3. I certainly don't want him to go, but I do feel like he is taking the piss. How come all of a sudden everyones family is moving to London? How come we never heard a thing about this until Dyer's move fell through? Too coincidental for me. I just think it would be better to let him move, as I think he would be difficult if he was forced to stay and wasn't played. We don't need anyone poisoning the team spirit irregardless of who it is. When I say I don't think Nobby needs replacing, what I meant was that I didn't think we needed to go out and get another right-winger necessarily. Don't forget Becks will be coming in on loan after the MLS season too
  4. I don't really think we need to replace him though, as he really didn't have a place int he team to begin with! His absence will mean more opportunities for Milner and Zoggy, and we still have Duff in the team too. Good news for Milner and Zoggy who deserve more opportunities to play. Think we ought to still focus on a right back still if anything. Swiss magpie how are the negotiations for Behrami going?
  5. West Ham have gone about their business the wrong way all summer, and they will no doubt pay for all this foolishness. Neil and Parker are already out with tweaked knee ligaments for this weekend, and it won't stop there I assure you. The bad energy surrounding all the morons on that team will bring the knackers down.
  6. Any hard evidence to support that view? Where were the allegations? I dont remember any. Unfortunately no hard evidence. It was reported in either the Journal or Chronicle just after Roeder was sacked and they were talking about the difficulties he had with the team. Like I said they were purely allegations, but Nobby it seems can be a bit of a prima donna judging by some of his past episodes with Robson. Wouldn't be at all surprised if there was some truth in this. He will have a very minimal role under Allardyce. He won't even get a game at right-bak as Sam likes them big back there, and so Taylor and Geremi would get the nod ahead of him int hat position. The writing appears to ba on the wall I think.
  7. I doubt there would be any quotes as Nobby wouldn't have the guts to come out and say this to the Newcastle supporters. Don't think he fancies getting his front door egged.
  8. Do any of you remember the allegations that Solano was very difficult with Roeder whenever he was not put into the first team? He aparently refused to travel once because of this, but eventually did after a huge fuss was made. Solano doesn't fit into Sam's plans as he has no role to play in the 4-3-3. Even in a 4-4-2 Milner would be ahead of him on the right and Zoggy on the left. I have a feelign Solano is in a bit of a strop to be honest. Seems to have turned into quite the little Peruvian diva has our Nobby.
  9. Pretty well known that he'd agreed in principle to join us and that, come January, he's there if we want him. Yup that is where we are atm. I really don't understand why we are taking such a risk...His wages alone will be high. But the lack of transfer fee will make it a small risk signing. It also sends out to other potential recruits that we're signing big name players. Aside from that, there's the chance that he might just be a good player. By all accounts he will also be completely fit by January which is when we will really need him anyway. Who else could we bring in around January on a potential free with his level of experience and versatility, not to mention ability. As long as our medics have had a look at him and feel that his return in January is realistic and he should be 100% by then, I think it is a good move.
  10. Because come January we will be losing Geremi and in Edmilson we would have a very good replacement who could be really good for us. It's a good opportunity to pick up a top player, perhaps without a transfer fee too.
  11. Linked with Eidur in the Times today ... Oba on the way out?
  12. I'm with Shak on this one, my team is too Phenomenal to be released early. It will be released after the deadline. I'm liking my chances that's for sure
  13. Better signing that Richardson imho. Exactly. Sunderland could have got Bouazza and Earnshaw for £7 million, but instead spent £11 million on on Richardson and Chopra. Not the right decision I don't think.
  14. The Times says Campbell will be recalled ...
  15. We do have a ton of strikers but I think Shak is thinking along the lines of a target man for Sam's 4-3-3, a position only Viduka and Shola can play for us, as Carroll is still young. I'm pulling for Shola this season, but I would have been very tempted to put in a bid for Santa Cruz at the price he went to Blackburn for, £3.5 million? I think with improved fitness and more opportunities he could be awesome. Still only young at what 25? Think Blackburn got a steal there. Could have been groomed as the successor to Viduka. Like I said though, I hope Shola comes through for us.

    Swiss telly nonsense

Swiss magpie is the best! I love his rumours straight from an alternate universe, but I love them none the less. I believe in you buddy and that's all that matters okay There were rumours we had a Swiss player on trial last week though! I'm sure I heard something like that. Someone said he went by the name of Henri but maybe it was Behrami! Well anyway, that's my straw and I'm clutching it.
  17. Anelka and Davies, although i wouldn't be suprised to see Vaz Te get on at some point. He's been on fire pre-season! If we play 4-4-2, Diouf will play wide. Although the way Sammy Lee likes to play, there is a lot of interchanging of positions. Good point about Vaz Te, he has been playing well. I've always liked him, and he looks a promising player. Portugal looked so much better in the Under 21 championships after they put him in the starting 11. If they played him in the first team from the start i think they would have at least got through to the next round. The thing is though I think both Vaz Te and Diouf are best as wide forwards in the 4-3-3 and won't be as effective as outright wingers in a 4-4-2, so it should be interesting to see what happens. Really going to be interesting to see how Bolton develops as a team under little Sam. Braaten could certainly be a shrewd signing for you if he gets his head right, and maybe even Whilelmson too.
  18. Sammy Lee has said that the formation he adopts will depend on the opposition but for most of pre-season it's been 4-4-2. Anelka and Diouf upfront? or Anelka and Davies? Diouf isn't being played as a winger in the 4-4-2 is he?
  19. Are we talking about Capello or Allardyce? That's funny ... but Capello ain't got nout on the Allah'dyce. Anyway, out of interest how's little Sam looking? Is he sticking with the 4-3-3 then? Or has he switched things around like he said he would? What do you think your starting lineup will be next week?
  20. Capello would be great?!!! He would be run out of town in my opinion. He would again bring his merry band of old timers from Italy with him and we would play the most defensive, cynical, no pace football you have ever seen. Not a fan of older Italian coaches whose main experiences have been in the Italian leagues. Don't think their brand of football would translate to the premier league at all.
  21. You're missing the point. Just messing with you. I get where you're coming from.
  22. Difference there was that Mourinho was a clear class above Ranieri, having just won the Champions League etc. Can we can attract someone massively better than Allardyce? Not so sure. Agree with your point overall though. I think Abramovich was also hugely influenced by Pini Zahavi who would have been pushing for the likes of Mourinho. As our new owners don't apear to be big football people I'm not sure they would have really had anyone else in mind. I think they would have been happy Allardyce was already in place. I think their focus is more to stabilize the clubs management off the pitch more than anything, Allardyce is a proven manager in this league and I doubt they will be looking to out him unless we do really really badly.
  23. With the players at his disposal now I think it will be very difficult for us to lose six games in a row. Even Roeder couldn't manage that. Managers don't lose six games in a row, players do.
  24. I'm not so sure you know. I think he was only so eager to get the England job because he was still at Bolton. Now he is at Newcastle, which is a club with greater potential and far more resources than he had at Bolton, I think he would rather be involved with club football and have a chance to challenge the top four on more of a level playing field. If he does go on to manage England I think it will only be after he has achieved something with Newcastle, and has been here for at least his initial three years.
