I find it incredibly frustrating that the Keegan issue could be potentially what is holding us back from completing the sale of the club as quickly as possible. It is unreal how much of an impact Ashley's decision to bring him back as negatively affected the club. Absolutely unreal. This stupid squabble between both parties has essentially led to our relegation and is now setting us so far back in our preparations for life in the championship. Destroying the club.

I agree. Needs to be in a 4-3-3. If they put him in a three man midfield alongside a couple of very active midfielders who are Essien types then he could be a very special player. Just have hime sit deep and distribute the ball all day long. Defensively he could then get a lot of help from the other two who could cover for his lack of mobility.

We can only hope that Shearer has continued to work away in the background to convince players he is interested in to be patient.

You have to imagine these managers have heard that Owen isn't getting much interest from any other clubs, otherwise why would they be so open about their interest. So far we have a denial from O'Neill of Villa, a rejection from Whelan at Wigan and interest from Hull and Stoke. Pretty filthy situation and he deserves it.

I think it's ultimately going to be really hard to judge this kit till we see how it looks in daylight with the whole team wearing it. I think it's okay at the moment, but it could potentially look better or much worse when the team actually wears it. One thing's for sure though, it's not going to be one of those kits the fans can wear out and about. Don't think it will work well with a pair of jeans etc.

I'm hanging onto the hope that Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi understands that Newcastle are a premier league calibre club despite our current predicament.
