I think you guys are being a bit harsh on Senderos. He was brilliant last season and was the reason Campbell couldn't get back into the team. He was also really good in the world cup and Switzerland didn't concede a single goal in the group stages. This season has been tough for him because he played in the world cup last year and because he was recovering from a serious injury going into the season. The only player he really struggles against is Drogba and you can see it is simply a maturity thing as he is still a bit intimidated by him. He's stilla young guy don't forget, and he is already a first team player for Switzerland. He will be a good player I think. however, we probably don't need any more young defenders as we have quite a few.

Flaminin would be a good pickup, and he isn't actually being released by Wenger. Flamini himself asked to leave because he wanted more opportunities to play his real position which is centre midfield. Flamini does have great potential. He is an Owen Hargreaves kind of player. Great energy, drive, determination and stamina with good all around skills. Flamini would not come here though if he is again just going to be a utility player. He wants first team football.

I'm pretty sure we have agreed not to raid Bolton for their players, which is why things have been so amicable. We will be raiding them for a couple of their staff that Sam has to have with him and we will pay compensation for this but that will be it. The only player we might bring in from Bolton will be Anelka because they were already willing to let him go and as long as we match the best offer they receive for him then we will get him if Owen/Martins go. Nolan won't happen inmy opinion, especially as he is their captain! Instaed Sam WILL get in Sidwell (I can feel it in my waters). If by some miracle this doesn't happen we will probably see someone like Reo-Coker come in, who Sam was considering moving for while with Bolton. Reo-Coker would be great under someone like Sam, especially when out of London and away from all his knuckle head pals. So, Anelka maybe ... but not Nolan, but instead Sidwell/Reo-Coker.

Well if that true, its all the more reason to get shot of Parker, in my opinion - if indeed the bid and figures being bandied about from West Ham are anywhere near accurate. Butt has shown more captain like qualities this season, and this week than Parker has done.... And its clear they can't play together. Suppose we'll see what occurs! Good point about Butt this week. Isn't it amazing how quiet Parker has been since the season ended and even to some extent Shay Given. With all that's gone on, only Butt and Harper have stood up and said something about it all. For the 1 millionth time he will end up at Newcastle I tell thee ... Sidwell is no fool. If he was ready to come here ahead of Chelsea while Roeder was in charge, there is no way in hell he will not come here if Sam shows him that he wants him and will have a first team place for him. Sidwell to Newcastle is nailed on in my opinion.

The best thing I have heard so far, and its about time more people realised that no player is bigger than the club! The reasons I believe this too be true are because all the signs point to it. As mentioned above Given and Butt have spoken of it today as well. Even n Roeders last game they couldn't do him the courtesy of coming out to do the lap of honour as he requested. Carr told him to fuck off and wen running down the tunnel! It really is disgusting.

Parky, your right, maybe the thread title and my initial post is too harsh on Roeder, but he shouldn't have stood for this crap. I am more angry with the players, but just so damn dissapointed in Roeder as he should have called them out at the time and had them disciplined regardless of who they were. We really do have a bunch of punks on this team, as soon as Roeder stood for one of them pulling htis kind of stunt they were all going to have a go. Infuriating really.
