They are overly enamoured with what Hall does going forward. And are completely trivialising the defensive side of things.

He isn't being benched. He was never seen as a starter. He came in due to injuries. Even when he signed, he was spoken of as one for the future. He's done well enough that he's made the back up position his, and the likes of Targett are now expendable. He'll still get first team opportunities, but in games and at times that are more beneficial for him, and he will continue to develop.

What makes you think he can't develop because he isn't starting every week? We aren't Brighton. We're not going to be following their model. We are aiming to be back in the top 4 and last time we achieved that it was based on a rock solid defence.

Kelly is the starting left back and Hall his deputy. Been saying this since Kelly signed. Hall started the first game as Kelly was behind him match fitness wise during pre season. After the drop of defensively last season, was never convinced Hall would automatically start this season, when Kelly is so much better defensively.

I'd go even a bit further. Even the football fans themselves are this way too. Outside of their teams, they only watch the clubs at the top. They complain players at other clubs are shit when they are linked with them and disparage any other club they think theirs is even slightly ahead of. I find it all very annoying. All the 'We're a big club, you're a small club' talk by all fans just feeds into this nonsense.

I wouldn't compare him to Murphy because he is much stronger on the ball, and is a much better dribbler and shooter. He is also left footed, and mostly looks to cut inside onto his left foot to shoot or whip in a cross. Although he can also go on the outside and cut it back with his right. He can also plays upfront as a lead striker and lead the line as he's around 6 ft 1. Murphy isn't that great taking on defenders with the ball because he gets shoved off it too easily, and so either needs to be played in behind into space, or has to knock the ball into space and outrun his defender. His shooting and finishing also isn't that accurate. That's why I said they are not alike.

They are asking for around £10 - £12 million. And he is nothing like Murphy man.
