Willing to accept 27m apparently
Ahi, interesting. So looks like definite confirmation it's Wolves then?

Personally think Hudson-Odoi isn't all that. I'd take a chance on him on loan if Howe thinks he can improve him and I'm happy to be proved wrong.
Just seems to me like he'd have gotten a move away already if he was top level standard (like Tomori and Abraham).
Think he's very talented, but from Howe's recent interviews, I get the impression we are looking for someone that is more established already.

This guy's profile makes a lot of sense as far as what we've been after, as he can play right, left and upfront. Very much a wide forward/striker.
The Wolves link might be a lazy one, just because he's Portuguese. They did the same with Palhinha this summer, and he ended up at Fulham.
Looks like a lot of clubs have been interested in Guedes but Valencia have been insisting on getting back the majority of the 40 million euros they paid for him, and clubs haven't been able to pay it. The reported fee of 35 million euros is in line with what we've offered for both Diaby and Harrison already this summer.
Going to keep an eye on this one. Think it's a possibility.

Oh man ... he's a legit PFM
Now that highly rated coach he had has left. Things might get ugly very quickly.

Hugo must be hating his life right now, poor kid.
He looked sharp when he came on. Very energetic, good movement and lovely feet.
He could have had two tap ins but got ignored by his team mates both times. Didn't look pleased at all.
Should have started ahead of Sarabia today, with Mbappe out really. Sarabia was so average.

MESSI!!!
Oh la la!!!

Ekitike is on.

People keep saying Forest were rubbish, but I think they'll come to find that the work Howe has done is being underestimated.
We finally got to see the majority of our better players all play together since they were strategically split throughout pre-season. I think we are going to be a massive headache for teams this season.

Stunning counter attacking goal from Hakimi. Elite pace and a great finish into the top corner.
-
He just needs to use his right foot. I remember him wasting an earlier chance against Palace last season trying to use his left foot when it was there to just hit with his right first time.
At the very least as an attacking player you have to practice shooting with your weaker foot if nothing else. It's too important. Think it will come though. Happy to hear he played so well today, as he continues to build confidence out there it will happen.
If we do get a quality right winger in though, I think I'd like to see him in that midfield three with Willock rotating in as more of a backup. A pressing midfield three of Joe, Bruno and Miggy would be phenomenal. I think Miggy would also be more comfortable finishing from central areas.

Neymar actually looks a bit tubby. Wow.

Mbappe injured and Ekitike doesn't start. Sarabia starts upfront instead. Interesting.

Man, there is nothing worse than having a manager that isn't getting the most out of the players. Gerrard is going to be under immense pressure witht he players they've brought in. He is looking very shakey.
Thank God we got Howe man, hard to believe he was our fall back option. Even Unai wouldn't have been this good a fit. Howe actually manages to get more out of players than you would have thought possible. We're so fortunate. To think Howe was sat at home when Villa hired Gerrard!

Watching bit of Wor Moussa Diaby - man he’s good
Yeah, got that game on another screen. He is rapid!

Chelsea look ordinary. They're really going to need a striker in the middle to get on the end of crosses from their wing backs. Osimhen would be scary in their team.
Everton look decent. Play with a lot of energy and have decent speed and athleticism in their team. They will give fellow mid table teams and lower table teams problems.

I was meaning in general terms but that's bad timing on my part
He has a knack for playing people in and it will be proven this season with a number of assists, now we actually have an idea of what we're doing as a team going forward. Think he'll chip in with a few goals too.

I know it's irrational but such musings piss me off. If we had spent money half of them would be fuming at us 'buying' success.
Proper fuck 'em all mentality only enhanced by a lovely, confident opening day.
I love it. They were all expecting us to spend like crazy so they could not give us any credit for any good play this season, but instead scream about Saudi riches.
Instead they will be forced to recognise the amazing job Howe and the players have done when we end up doing well this season without going mad in the transfer market.

Dwight McNeil starts on the right. Really interested to see how he looks in this role at last. I think he's going to be good.
-
Kudos to Scott Parker. Good start for him.
-
Schar had a knack for this under Rafa, whenever the strikers were faffing about
-
Yessssssssssss!!!!! Go on Schar!!!!

We have to score a couple to demoralise them. Bit worried about Awoniyi coming on and pulling something out of the bag.
Man, can't help but think Lascelles would have scored form one of those corners too.

I think they just look for good players that fit regardless of market. Why would they have such a limit in place?
