Both really good clubs for him. I rate him, looking forward to seeing how he comes along outside of Burnley.

If this was at the early stages/still negotiating a price with the club then surely the agent wouldn't be in Newcastle?
Wouldn't seem so, no. Hopefully it's close to being wrapped up, hence the Instagram post.

More likely he suddenly had a torrent of absolute mutants messaging him so took it down.
Yeah, I'm guessing they weren't prepared for that at all
Doesn't look like they have many players on their books, certainly not of any high profile other than him, so they must have been freaked out

Maybe he's run out of minutes
Ah, yes, that's true. Much cheaper this way.

He'll have done it to alert Liverpool/Spurs - get a bit of a bidding war going.
Or he could have just contacted the clubs directly?

Imagine quoting Barca as an example of how to run a football club

Salzburg sold Adeyemi for around 30 million Euros, and he was a lot more proven.
Hard to imagine this deal not going through if we've tabled such a bid. Likely to come down to the structure of it all.

Really good signing for Leeds, that (if true). They’re going to be annoying this season. That tweet turned out to be wildly inaccurate, whcih is the point @Rich was making about that guy that tweeted it. Look at the date.

£50m for a left back is mental. I just don't get where this stops.
They spent £50 million on a right back 5 years ago.

In that case I think this will just be his agent nudging those clubs.
Nah, similar to Ekitike, we're seemingly putting a lot on the table for a talented young player that hasn't quite hit the heights yet, which is a clever strategy really, because I don't think many others will be willing to do the same.
We were just unlucky with Ekitike in the sense that Luis Campos recently joined PSG and rated him highly, Ekitike also looks up to Mbappe a lot, and of course PSG have no issue just throwing money at everything, and so that was just all too much to overcome.
Think we're in with a very strong chance here.

This guy has talked absolute shit for most of the window
If reports that an initial bid has been made and rejected, then I kind of see what he is insinuating in this instance.
Think it will push the club to tie things up, more so because now other clubs will be alerted, as if this is all true, it's been kept incredibly quiet so far.

Looks a similar build and style to Ekitike
But with a much stronger build, thankfully!

I'm not saying he's right at all but it seems to be a theme of yours to go over the top criticising other opinions
Okay, sorry.

Is he strictly a striker or more a wide forward ?
More of a striker proper.

Of course he'd be wrong...anyone who has a different opinion to you is wrong/mental/insane
Oh boy ...
Okay then. We'd be buying Harrison as a temporary fix for one window.

Ridiculously gifted physically and athletically for a 19 year old.
And has so much variation to his game. If and when he ties it all together ... would be something else.
Fingers crossed.

He’s supposed to be promising. Not that many goals yet though. I really like the look of Sucic.Sucic is great too, and we've been linked this window.
Lately reports have popped up that Liverpool are after him too, unfortunately.

Love it when the plane spotting thread and the transfer rumours thread collide. There's surely got to be something in that?
Sesko is an absolute FM legend.
Would be a very exciting transfer. Just for the potential. Has everything you want in a modern complete forward.
Like @Ikon has said though, has been a bit inconsistent as far as output, but he was more of a rotational player in that brilliant Salzburg team.
He's a legit wonderkid though right there with Ekitike in terms of long term projections.

I think the inevitable uncertainty is a good point. You minimise uncertainty, in any recruitment, by selecting people who have already done the job in the most similar circumstances possible.
This works both ways for someone like Harrison. He has performed well, better than what we currently have, in our league. What we don’t know is in a better overall team, what is his true potential contribution? I’d be delighted to take that chance.
Yes, exactly. I think the club is being very strong on this approach, because of how important it has been deemed to add goals to the first team this summer.
If we we had a team that was better at getting goals through the team, then we likely would have perhaps taken more of a risk in that slot with someone from abroad that maybe isn't quite as much of a certainty, but that is younger and has a higher ceiling of potential.

This lad looks similar to Paqueta in terms of style, technique and position, but at a fraction of the cost.
He looks very good. Think in a year or two he'll be much more well known. Hope we are still in there.

Ok, maybe one window is an exaggeration
But he isnt a long term solution.
Bruno and Botman will be key players in the Medium to Long Term.
My hope was we were targeting players that were similar. For the price of Harrison, there are options out there, even if it meant taking one step back to take 3 steps forward (eg: Talented youth)
Harrison is 1 step forward, but not 3 steps forward.
Ok, my analogies suck - hope the point is made though :P
I think the problem is that at that RW position, there aren't many foreign options that have produced at a level similar to Diaby, which is what we would be targeting if we went with someone abroad. Seemingly because we want someone that will produce in that position straight away. I think that's why Harrison is the next option up, because he's already produced in the Premier League.
Players like Madueke, Chukwueze, Ludovic Blas etc. are foreign options that would be more affordable, but that come with a bit more uncertainty as far as producing goals and assists in the Prem right away.
I'd be happy with some of those more affordable foreign options, and if Harrison doesn't work out, they may well turn to them. But I can see the thinking in targeting Harrison.

Yes, Diaby's metrics look great against Harrison's.
However, Diaby has been playing in a different and arguably more favourable league, and a higher calibre of team within that league also.
Harrison's goal and assists output carry a lot of weight because they've been produced in the league we are in and he's done it for a team that isn't that great.

I feel like there should be more to your rebuttle
My point is. There are more Brunos out there. Players with a much higher ceiling.
Although sensible, I dont think Harrison is that player.
Happy to be proven wrong though
And it's okay for you to feel that way.
But if you really think we'd buy Harrison as a one window temporary fix, then you'd be wrong.

Harrison is the equivalent to the Burn transfer
Pragmatic, and improves the team in the short term
BUT - for only 1 window, then becomes a backup.
I would much rather have a purple that moves the club forward than invest in bench
Harrison would be the epitome of "meh"
Pure fantasy and delusion.

Yes sir. Would love that. Two fantastic young players.
It's actually frightening how stacked that Salzburg team is. They run a heck of an operation over there.
