No idea what folks are looking at really. Can't believe it.
-
Nope, not even similar heights. MGW is taller.
-
Ikon, I recall you complaining anytime I mentioned how wrong people were about Gordon. Yet, every time I post about a player you don't rate, similar to back then, you are very quick to go on about how shit they are. Now, I don't mind it, but please don't start kicking off again once the season starts, if I remind you of some of these bold claims of yours. Thanks!

Would be a really good move for him.
-
He regularly got replaced by Dan James because James started the season well on the right when Gnonto was in the doghouse for trying to force a move, and wasn't in the team, and didn't get going till later in the season. Funnily enough I have a telly too, and was able to watch Leeds in the Championship as well, miraculously enough.
-
Yes, I have watched him. It seems you haven't though, and are just going off of his stint in the Prem on the left. He's just as good either side and either cuts in or goes on the outside, as he's very good with both feet. If you don't believe the numbers that don't back your claims since they are just 'stats' then you can easily pull up numerous clips where he is causing problems from that right side, as hes played there more often.
-
No it isn't true. He's played and been used more on the right in his career, and there is no difference in the production from either side. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wilfried-gnonto/leistungsdaten/spieler/627626

Not true. Played more as a right winger than a left winger.
-
I'm growing increasingly suspicious we might see Barnes and Gordon out wide in the first team, with someone like Gnonto coming in as higher quality depth. With all of this PSR drama, I wouldn't be surprised to see us try to move a bit more cautiously going forward now. It's what a lot of people on here were already saying we should have done previously, so we didn't have to sell Minteh, and so don't think we should be surprised if we start to see that.
-
If he's the winger signing then I'd assume we are going to opt to start both Barnes and Gordon. From that tweet, it seems he'd be more of the young versatile forward signing, that can play across the front three. Be interesting to see which scenario it is.
-
Think you need to watch more of him tbh.
-
From that 'tweet' he would be in the mould of the young versatile striker we are apparently after, which would be a really good fit I think. Decent amount of experience in both the Prem and the Championship now, and so can still be effective as a threat when brought into the team in any position across the front three.
-
Liked him from his first season in the Prem with Leeds when he mostly played on the left, and was good again for them in the Championship playing mostly on the right, as he can still go either way (cutting inside or going on the outside), being good with both feet.
-
Gordon is more tenacious and energetic. In one on one situations Williams is more dangerous and difficult to get a handle on. Both good players in different ways.
-
Wow. Zaha doesn't have a tenth of the awareness or game intelligence Nico Williams does. Both players are incomparable.
-
The Gordon thing was such a travesty. Would have been so perfect playing the role Saka did, but on the left side. Would have been much more attacking down that side and is brilliant defensively. For his treatment alone this tournament, Southgate did not deserve to lift that cup.
-
Eze is another that doesn't really make runs behind. Bowen does though, agree there.
-
That's the whole point. If you're going to use him you put runners around him. The only such player in the squad is Gordon and he got 5 mins all tournament. He played a bunch of players with Kane that all want to come short and drop into similar areas.
-
Funny thing about this whole Kane thing, is I was watching Spain today thinking how perfect he'd be with their two young wingers flying forward, as well as Olmo and Ruiz actually making well timed forward runs ahead of the striker at times. England have a bunch of interesting pieces, and a man in charge that has no idea how to put them together to be more effective.
-
So embarrassing man.
-
Had a heck of a tournament overall to be fair. Think in a team that uses the ball well and has control, he's much more well suited. Was really good today, surprisingly so.
-
All the flak Cucurella gets and he's played a blinder in the final and delivered that killer ball late on to win it ... That's pretty wild man. Actually thought he'd be a weak point against Saka today and all. Fair play.
-
This approach has served us very well and has got us great value in the market. Massively dependent on good scouting and the manager choosing well from the available options. And this has been the case for us.
-
Chelsea thirsting over Dani Olmo now of course.
