More pace and directness than Kulu and more clinical than Johnson IMO. Kulusevski is being made available this summer it seems.

If Spurs end up with a front three of Son, Toney and Chiesa and get some luck with injuries, they could have a really good season.
-
This is so problematic man, and pretty common on here, unfortunately.
-
Because of how injury prone Wilson is can see us wanting the young striker we bring in to have Prem experience. After the intel from Brummie this is pretty terrifying though. Do not like the sound of his character at all.
-
I heard about that! Pretty crazy.
-
I read somewhere the other day that Toney has also been asking for £250,000 a week, and this has affected the amount of interest that has been shown in him.
-
Agreed. I like what I've seen of him. Has some really good experience at a high level, and at a big club and is still so young for a centre back especially. Lots of good physical and play style traits to work with and build on. Schar is still likely to be the man on the right centre back side to start with too, and so he can be worked in gradually.
-
Seems they rate Thiaw really highly tbh. We looked at him last year and have returned again. And as usual are taking advantage of a down year due to being out of the team after an injury early in the season.
-
Gonzalez turned 26 this year. No different from Barnes last year. I don't think he'd be considered too old. The likes of Bruno and Joelinton are 27 and 28 now and in their prime, which we should capitalise on. I think the likes of Man Utd and Chelsea are getting carried away with signing or promoting youngsters and we should take advantage of that.

We haven't really signed a player we would describe as elite at the time of signing them. Our best signings have all come in and fit in really well and exceeded expectations. Respect to Miggy, but it's not going to be difficult to get improvement down that side. A winger that takes people on more consistently and delivers a ball from wide without hesitation already makes us far more dangerous. Any of the names we've been linked with are significant improvements going forward. The most highly rated ones being Raphinha and Gonzalez.

It was originally from DiMarzio.

Saw a link to another right back yesterday. Marc Pubill from Almeria. Similar to Kayode it's another younger player with experience that would likely rotate with Tino should Trippier leave.
-
Every time I've watched him I like what I see. He's such a calm and composed defender. Was also very surprised how decent he looked at right back when played there last season. I think Chelsea are nuts to be looking to get rid of him, and the fans seem pissed off about it. I fully expect him to follow the same path the likes of Guehi, Tomori and Ake have once he leaves.
-
That's very interesting. Would be very cool for him and his brother. Even after any sales could they really afford him though? What's the minimum we'd take for Longstaff in his final year? £10 million maybe? Would they spend that kind of money?
-
"Already dropped out of the Champions League" My God
-
It's decent depth already on the face of things, but Willock has struggled recently injury wise, Longstaff is going into the final year of his contract and so is in a bit of a precarious position, and then Miley has unfortunately picked up an injury now too, and could do with some protecting when he comes back.

Really hope and think Mitchell helps out with this. Howe seems to like to have his experienced pros around, which is important, but we can't really overdo it, and I think he might lean that way. There was even talk Dummet and Ritchie would have stayed had we made Europe!
-
Like this type of signings for squad depth. Lower fee and wages from a smaller league, but has shown something that signifies a potential to be decent cover and develop further. Kind of move we haven't done enough of.
-
Number of people have mentioned he loves a long shot. I quite like that. Still think we don't shoot enough from outside the box, and aren't good enough at it. Would be a welcome addition.
-
Um ... probably shouldn't be dissuading him from any move tbh. If we get a decent bid we should sell. Can't see him getting a new contract so he'll be leaving on a free in a year anyway. Don't know who this guy is, but he's had a mare.
-
Fair enough, at least it's something to talk about in the meantime.
-
Usually take notice when they start mentioning specific details of the bids that have been made whether official or through intermediaries. This has been the case with both Thiaw and Gonzalez. Both of whom we've strongly been linked with in previous windows. At a guess I'd say there's some interest in both players.

Why does this end the anticipation? He might be ready to move on now and they may want to raise funds this summer?
