Well, going from what people are saying on here, seems a really exciting signing. Really good age too - good experience but still got some years ahead of him. Really like that he can play upfront too and looks very good in the air.
-
I know Gonzalez is rated and his numbers and all that look great, but stylistically what sort of player is he? Has he got that creative element people want from the right winger? Haven't really seen much of Fiorentina the last few years.
-
Ah, it's just fun holding his feet to the fire every now and then!
-
Nice! Need to get the wrist trembling offer in asap.
-
Martial came into the league and looked a handful right off the bat at what 19 years old?! I rated him very highly. Not at all far fetched that he was arguably a more talented prospect than Isak, who took a little while longer to find his feet. It's actually pretty impressive how badly you mismanaged Martial. Never even got as far as giving him a position to master and nail down, constantly shifting him between left wing and striker. Terrible stuff.
-
Listen here man. From now on before you even dare to type the name Isak, you must first apologise before doing so. You are not worthy.
-
You practically paid the same as what we did for Isak for Martial a decade ago! Have some shame man. For the talent and ability that boy had it's been a disaster. He must lament his decision to join Man Utd.
-
Your wretched club took one of the most promising and exciting French striker prospects and destroyed him. Just like you're on your way to doing with Hojlund you dummy.
-
If you ran a poll of every single football supporter on Earth outside of Newcastle and Man Utd fans and asked them to pick between Isak and Hojlund based off their first season, 0% pick Hojlund, who already looks to be heading the way of Martial due to the rubbish around him.

Got to stay consistent.

Sick of people that run their mouth so boldly and then when they get pulled up on it start whining. Do you have any friends in real life? This shit never ever flies man! If you run your mouth and get proved to be wrong in such spectacular fashion you get cooked! At least have the damn sense to just own it. Embarrassing stuff.

Typical of so many football 'supporters' online nowadays. Don't really watch players or games closely and likely never played the game or understand what they're even looking at. And really think quoting goal scoring numbers against certain teams determines the ability or quality of a player. Proper nerd stuff.

No idea where the idea came from that he was solely a left winger. He's always played all over the place.
-
No it isn't. He's a young player that came in and covered due to injuries, as is his role at the minute. I am not as convinced of him defensively for him to be a starter going forward, with far more experienced and better defenders at that position available. The sad thing about all this is should he start there and make some errors at the back, people will be on his back straight away.
-
But then why would he drop Burn then? If you go back to when we signed Hall, he was spoken about as one for the future. He's 19 and has had a nice showing at season's end filling in for injuries, which was great. I don't think this makes him a starter over far more experienced players that aren't scrubs. We'll see what happens, but can't help but think the kid is being setup to fail. Not sure what the hurry with him is.
-
Burn has been brilliant at centre back and has a really good partnership with Schar. It would be forcing it, dropping him for Lewis Hall man.
-
Wish people would stop comparing Kelly to Burn at left back. You couldn't have watched him play there to make this kind of statement. And so why?! Would be like complaining about Nathan Ake playing at left back.
-
It's just a different level of experience, physicality and athleticism. He's also good on the ball still and gets up and down the line. Also Howe already knows him well and knows exactly what he brings to the table. Kelly vice versa knows exactly what Howe expects of him also. It would be very surprising if Hall starts IMO. I may be wrong though, and so we'll see. The way I see it, Hall is very young and inexperienced. His time will come and he'll still get opportunities to play, as Kelly isn't one you want to be running into the ground anyway.
-
Kelly is not some stiff centre back and make shift left back that can't get forward. Not sure why the clamour for Hall to start before seeing Kelly play. From what I've seen of Kelly, I'd be very surprised if Hall starts ahead of him.

Because of how awful Bruce was, we couldn't hire a Sporting Director prior to getting a manager in, which would have been the ideal way of going about things. Howe came in first and settled into a way of working with Amanda and Mehrdad acting as defacto sporting directors, that essentially let him operate however he wanted. On top of that Howe's history coming through at Bournemouth, is one where he had to take on a lot and have control over a lot of areas, and where he did delegate it was to people he was close with and knew well. Ultimately, this way of working is not going to work at a bigger club, or one aiming for that kind of standard at least. We'll soon find out if he is able to adjust or not. If not he'll have to work at clubs that are willing to let him run/control the whole show, and these are increasingly few and far between, and lower down the table.

It says right there they want £12 million for goodness sake!!!
-
Wait ... what?!!! If that is the money involved can we please get him to back up Bruno?!
-
From the first reports on him when our interest was reported, he plays both positions I believe.
