  1. My God I mean, this guy is sounding seriously bad. Some of the posts about him are making me want to apologise to Dubravka. Was there no other cheap options at Forest we could have gone with instead?! Damn!
  2. This is very strange man. I'm arguing my view point with other people, as is the nature on a forum. There are people that agree with me and there are people that don't. You seem to be taking it personally and as some sort of attack, claiming I am gleefully baiting people. People take cheeky digs at each other all the time on here. When it's someone you don't typically agree with that does it, then suddenly they are some evil villain. Just relax and don't take everything so seriously.
  3. Why are you always so worried about my posts and worried about if they are positive?! You seem pretty miserable about a lot of what the club is doing at the minute, and so anything I post winds you up, if it isn't aligned with what you think. If you don't accept that negotiations would have been ongoing to get the best deal possible then don't accept it then. You'll find I'm not the only one that understands the concept. If you really think the club were scrambling around panicking and offering out Isak and Gordon yesterday, and that really makes sense to you, then have at it. Keep complaining about it all and getting upset about it all you want man. I don't exactly know what that even achieves. Maybe you can reach out to the club and tell them you don't appreciate their practices. Or if it's annoying you so much, then don't log on over the summer, or don't support the club. Find what you enjoy, and what makes you happy.
  4. Yeah, but I'm not convinced it was the mad scramble it's being made out to be. Think it only came down to the end to try and get the best deal available, and they would have been lining up different options and negotiating right up until as late as possible to get the best money they could.
  5. It actually seems to be a pretty good fee. I was looking at some of Villa's sales to compare and it seems to line up. For example they sold Jaden Philogene to Hull city for just under £5 million, and he looks a decent prospect, and ended up with 12 goals and 6 assists in the Championship, and is now getting Premier League interest. He's a winger, but looks to have more about him than Anderson at the minute. They also sold that Carney Chukwuemeka to Chelsea for around £15 million, and he looked a much brighter prospect than what Anderson has shown so far, and we only got £5 million less for Anderson.
  6. Allowing it to go too far would have been having to sell key players IMO. We are just moving young players that are not actually key pieces for us at the minute. In actuality, I believe the club is doing what it should be. Thanks to the previous owner we have zero assets, as the players we would like to move on are not valued. Also the academy was so poorly managed, that we had nothing coming through there either. And so selling a couple of youngsters with some promise feels like such a big deal, due to the dearth of such players we've had for a while now.
  7. Do you think following American sports leagues, and all the salary cap drama, free agency and trades, helps make this all easier to grasp do you think?! I'm thinking it might do.
  8. I see. That's unfortunate. Might certainly have affected things.
  9. Goodness knows how long these deals have been discussed, with everyone waiting for the deadline to approach to see who blinks first. Also, have to take into consideration Bruno's release clause. We had to wait to see how that whole thing played out. If someone had triggered the release clause then there would have been no need for any other business.
  10. Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. Would make sense.
  11. Really?! Hadn't heard that about his attitude. What was the deal with that?
  12. So when Eales said there would have to be some player trading as part of the process going forward, it looks like people just thought it meant we'd just move on the crappy players we don't want to these mystery clubs that would be gasping for them? Not how this works unfortunately. Can't just peddle your garbage and keep all the good stuff.
  13. We could have bought some cheaper, lesser players that were more of a gamble, instead of some of the better ones we did, and probably been able to keep Minteh and Anderson this summer. But then guess what everyone would have been complaining about when those players weren't as good or were very hit and miss? And Minteh and Anderson weren't coming along as quickly? They'd complain non stop about us not buying quality players of course! There is absolutely no winning this game with the fans man. I would hate to be the owner of a football club. Worst gig going.
  14. Oh my God ... is he actually still there?!
  15. The only way they would go along with that is if we gave them some PSR relief too, by taking someone off them as well I would have thought.
  16. I really hope Longstaff does look better next season. This past one was a struggle. As things stand, any injury and he's straight in again playing a bunch.
  17. I really can't help but wonder what Forest see in him and how they plan to use him. He's been a solid contributor for us when he's played, but it was more of a case of waiting for him to take the next step. Wonder what grabbed Forest's attention.
  18. The midfield depth is starting to look a bit ropey. Don't trust Willock to stay fit. Longstaff really put me off him last season a lot, and Miley is still so young. Be interesting to see what we do there.
  19. I like Anderson. Hope he gets a chance to play more there and develop. Had to be a tough calls for the club. Really wish it would have been Longstaff instead.

    Anthony Elanga

He's on the wind up man
  21. I'm just trying to understand man Anyways, perhaps it's gone on too much for today. Really looking forward to seeing how the team shapes up over the summer now and how it looks next season. Watching Minteh will also be incredibly fascinating.
  22. Ah, okay. I see what you're getting at now. So I'll put it this way then. If the player was more likely to go out on loan, rather than be a contributor to the first team next season, then would that not be a sale for footballing reasons? Compared to the other saleable assets he's last in the pecking order, as he is not currently a contributor to the first team. These decisions are all being made with the back drop of PSR, and so don't think that can just be swept under the rug as if it is not a factor.
  23. I did answer your question. Whether we like it or not PSR is a part of football currently. You can't just separate it out for your convenience as it has implications for how we are able to progress on the pitch going forward.
