I read an article saying it's all agreed, but as the MLS season hasn't kicked off yet, we've asked for him to stay till the end of January as an emergency option so we're not left short, and they agreed. Think it was from Ben Jacobs and so take with heaps of salt, but would make some sense I guess.

It's so frustrating man honestly. We can't even get some decent valued young players, without those scammers muscling in. Won't be surprised if they both never even play there.

They've got all this extra revenue by doctoring the books and can come in and offer twice what the original fee was. Meanwhile we are tied up in PSR mainly because of their and Chelsea's diabolical practices. They screwed us over.

There's everyone's favourite Man City, screwing us over big time. Can't stand those lot man. Was so obvious by how the fee went up loads once they got involved. They then went and did the same with the kid at Real Valladolid, Juma Bah, who we were after too.

Fair enough if it was hyperbole We've seen more top teams go head to head more often and earlier in the competition and therefore more competitive matches across the board right from the outset. And so there have been more big games and more games that mattered throughout. It didn't just come down to last night. Top 8 teams bypass the first knockout stage and go through to the last round. Teams 9-24 play in the first knockout stage. Where 9-16 are seeded and get to play the return leg at home against teams from 17-24. Teams are going to be fighting to get into those 9-16 spots next week as that is quite open still. Some can still sneak into the top 8 to skip the next round altogether and there's a few that are still in with a chance of qualifying altogether with a bit of luck. There's still a lot going on. And we're going to see a good number of teams that are more unfancied feature past the first stage.

Brest, Lille, Monaco, Feyenoord, Celtic, and Club Brugge are all going to be in the next stage.

There have been far more interesting matches in this format. I don't know why this is so difficult to grasp

Feyenoord's come back against Man City to draw. Looks like they battered Bayern tonight too. Lille beating Real Madrid. Lille beating Atletico Madrid. Sporting smashing Man City. Villa beating Bayern. And I'm sure there's others. Been so many good matches.

I feel like the people that keep saying it's worse haven't even looked into how the whole thing works!
