Didn't even notice the link to the website to put the radars together! Nice one. Good to know.

Would love to see what Tonali looks like in that chart.

This is so crazy ... So even if a club isn't trying to do a swap deal to manipulate the rules as was the case before, but are instead genuinely interested in players from another club that has bought one of theirs, they essentially get punished anyway! Absolutely ridiculous stuff. Would it be more feasible if Newcastle aren't in Europe next season?

Man City are apparently willing to make James Trafford, Juma Bah, Rico Lewis and Issa Kabore available as part of any deals for Tonali and Tino. Swap deals aren't really a thing and so I'm sure deals for any of these would be done separately. Trafford we clearly like a lot and Juma Bah was the other young centre back we were looking at along with Khusanov, before Man City steamed in and signed both. Not sure we'd look at Rico Lewis as he's more of an inverted full back and is quite small for an Eddie side. Kabore is a right back that has been on loan at Wrexham and haven't seen much of him there, but remember him being on loan at Luton, and he's more of the profile of right back that Howe would sign and could serve as a backup in that position either for Tino if he stays or for whoever replaces him. I think provided we get paid full value for Tonali and/or Tino and get very fair deals on any players that Newcastle like then probably not a bad idea tbh. I think man City is the only club in England that players moving to is somewhat bearable. Man United fans ae so irritating and are already running off at the mouth about how they're going to sign seemingly every Newcastle player, I would love for them to end up with none.

Actually ... just remembered what Shearer said about Gordon after the first Barca game. Pretty sure that had something to do with this
-
Saka over Shearer man. My God Thoughts on Kane over Rooney?

Indeed. Think the fans are just as bad when it's a player they are fond of. I can't fathom why we'd hold on to Murphy past this summer. He's now 31 and going into the last year of his contract. Got a nice cross in the final third, but other than that there's nothing else really. If we can't find a better player to bring in to be more of a challenge and possibly even force Elanga into more of a secondary option then the club is in big trouble.
-
He has a great engine and gets back really well in defensive transitions. Those are his two consistent strong points. Been very disappointed in his ability to help facilitate play from the back and take a bit more charge in midfield when we have the ball. He doesn't move around that well to find space to receive the ball and when he gets the ball he can be quite sloppy with it. Also, outside of defensive transitions, when we are under pressure and need to keep defensive shape, he tends to also get drawn out of position. I genuinely don't think he'll be a big loss to the team, not anywhere near the same way Bruno G would. I'm quite confident we'll be able to replace him adequately without too much palaver, and in a way I'd be quite eager to see if we could actually get an improvement as far as adding some more control and composure in that midfield 6 position.

That Ederson at Atalanta is actually going into the last year of his contract from this summer. Still just 26 years old. Looks like Atalanta are after around £35 million plus add ons. Atletico are sniffing. Seems a great deal to me. https://football-italia.net/atletico-madrid-submit-offer-atalanta-ederson/

Maybe despite all the noise those other clubs don't want him.
-
Check in with Anderson to see if he wants to start at the heart of central midfield for Newcastle. If he's enamoured by Man City then one of Joao Gomes, Adam Wharton or Alex Scott. And if English club tax is out of control then Ederson or Lamine Camara, who Newcastle have been looking at forever it seems.
-
Probably made the agreement because they don't think he's indispensable, and perhaps they've actually realised he's not as good as initially thought. Can't wait to see those misplaced first time passes in Man United colours, and to hear the groans at Old Trafford. They're going to end up labelling him another Ugarte.
-
You do realise he hasn't been injured all season, and there was a period they were being rotated, which actually ended up slowing Ekitike down a bit after his hot start. When he came back initially and was looking lost and "unfit" because he "had no pre season" even long after his return, there was then some chatter that Ekitike was better and Isak didn't look the same at a "big club".
-
So ... it appears the Isak news came out of Spain or is now being covered there too. Sounds like he hasn't enjoyed being rotated with Ekitike or his role in Slot's setup. Hope this one keeps gathering pace and it turns into a big fat mess https://www.fichajes.net/en/news/big-news-isak-wants-to-sign-for-barcelona-20260325.html https://www.elnacional.cat/ca/esports/alexander-isak-ha-demanat-seus-agents-treguin-liverpool-truquin-barca_1615839_102.html Alexander Isak has asked his agents to remove him from Liverpool and call Barça The Swedish striker is considering a change of scenery after less than a year The transfer market is starting to heat up and one of the names that is emerging strongly is that of Alexander Isak . The Swedish striker is not going through his best moment at Liverpool and, according to English media, he has already conveyed a clear decision to those around him: he wants to leave the club. His time at Anfield , despite the expectations generated upon his arrival, is not working as expected and the player is starting to look for an alternative. The lack of continuity and an unclear role within the team have been determining factors in the striker's decision. Isak has not managed to establish himself as a key player and his performance has been conditioned by this same irregularity. This situation has led him to reconsider his future even before completing a full season with the English team. Barça appears as the preferred option In this sense, the striker is clear about what his ideal destination would be. Isak has asked his agents to initiate contacts with Barça , a club that has already shown interest in him in previous stages, but that never made a formal offer for him. The Swede believes that the Barça style of play can enhance his qualities and offer him the prominence that he is not finding in England. For its part, as is known, Barça continues to explore the market in search of solutions for its attack. The possibility of incorporating a striker with mobility, association capacity and goal scoring fits into the sporting planning. In addition, the fact that the player himself is willing to facilitate the operation is a factor that could play in their favor. A negotiation conditioned by context Despite the player's desire, the operation will not be easy. Liverpool do not envisage an easy exit, especially after having recently bet on him. However, the pressure of the player and the evolution of the market could open a door in the coming weeks. Everything will be in the hands of the Anfield leaders, who will have to choose between giving the player a new opportunity or closing this folder before it becomes a historic failure. The reality is that Isak's future is up in the air. Thus, the Swedish striker is positioned as one of the names to watch in the next transfer window, with Barça on the horizon and a possible operation that will depend on multiple factors, both sporting and economic, in a summer that is expected to be particularly eventful.

If he does move at least it will be for a decent chunk of money. Solid enough player, but wouldn't lose any sleep over him going at all really.

Antonio Cassano isn't a fan. Thinks he should do athletics. Some big games coming up for Italy to seal a World Cup place. https://www.calciomercato.com/liste/cassano-tonali-e-barella-sono-scarsi-gogna-mediatica-su-bastoni-allora-la-generazione-della-juve-doveva-essere-squalificata-ogni-5-minuti/bltdcd624ec295c1fff#cs1f92cd9ebcba9f00

Really need Liverpool to miss out on the Champions League and for them to announce Slot will get another year for all hell to break lose over there. Will be absolutely glorious. I'm sure agents of players there will be straight away looking for any opportunity to get more money by moving their players. Already heard Wirtz agent mouthing off about a Real Madrid move, and we all know Isak's agent is a nut job, so this Barca talk wouldn't surprise me.
-
Guess we'll find out what they're after soon enough. I imagine there's only so much they can realistically ask for when the player hasn't broken through fully, isn't being given the chances to do so and now wants to leave.
-
That feels a bit steep. Probably more of a similar deal to Lewis Hall. Think that was around £28 million with add-ons to £35 million. Something like that would do I think.
-
That Josh Acheampong wants out of Chelsea now too. He's a Hall and Tino level talent by all accounts. Hope we're right in there to try and get him. Really need to keep on good terms with Chelsea. They're going to keep fumbling talented players with this crazy approach they have at the minute.
-
It's all going to come to a head this summer. Would really like to see Howe be open to points 3 and 4 regarding tactics and recruitment, as I genuinely think he'll be better for it and it will actually benefit him. If he does feel like he's being infringed upon though, which he shouldn't after how last summer and this season have gone, could see him leaving like a few others have said.
-
There was talk that PIF needed persuading to sign off on the deal for him due to his age. Can't imagine what they're thinking about how the signing has panned out so far. It's been such a disaster. Genuinely can't believe how much so.
