  1. The most disappointing thing about this guy is his incredibly poor balance. I can't believe how often he falls over when engaging with defenders.

Worst of all he then just sits on the floor remonstrating to the ref, as if this hasn't been happening for ages now and he's still surprised fouls aren't being called in those instances.

As bad as he might have been when he first joined, it is astonishing to see how much worse he is actually getting game by game. How could he have started today ahead of both Fraser and Murphy ... how?!

What is the fascination with Allardyce man? Did people not see the mess he made of West Brom's situation last season?

Of course, but there are plenty of 60 year old managers who have had no problem adapting. The problem with guys like Bruce is that they shouldn't have been managers in the first place, even in 1998.

Ah yes, of course. I was referring to the PFM gang i.e. Proper Football Men that are stuck in the past and only get gigs to 'keep teams up' or when a lazy owner just wants a patsy to push around. Pardew, Allardyce, Bruce, Pulis etc.

He's only 60 though. Of course the game has changed, but tactics were a thing when he was playing. It's not like he came up in 1880.

Yes, to some extent they were around then too, but the extent to which they are coached now and worked on in training is much more detailed and far ore important IMO. Particularly with all of the technology available now, and this man apparently cannot even use email.

There’s many coaches of his generation who can adapt to changing tactics in the sense of how teams are coached; pressing is an example. He has no clue how to coach high-pressing and when we attempt it, it just looks half-arsed and doesn’t work. Rather than winning back possession it’s easily bypassed and leaves us exposed in defence. Fwiw, I think Southgate has the same problem with England

He's a typical arrogant PFM that thinks tactics are not a thing and you just need players to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in. These lot just cannot accept the game has moved on drastically and are not interested in learning or understanding how much things have changed.

Not to keep banging the same drum but I’ve had a horrible feeling it’s going to be Lampard since this all started

Please man, don't say this. I don't even dislike Lampard as much as some on here, but it would be such a poor appointment in the circumstances. We'd be in big trouble I think.

As bad as Lewis has looked, he cannot be worse than Ritchie. No chance.

Everyone looks bad under this clown except ASM and Wilson who are just very gifted athletically, physically and football wise.

The others need more organisation and direction and it is completely non existent. You can't just throw guys out on the pitch at this level man.

Patrick Vieira has gone into Crystal palace and has been having them do two a day training sessions, while we train 3 days a week. It's unbelievable.

Indeed. This idea of bringing in managers with experience in relegation fights is so fatally flawed, not least because of the fucking obvious fact that they have experience with relegation fights because they are generally dog shit at their jobs. Punditry requires the least qualifications of any job. My old VP's at Cypress Semiconductor with their "don't reinvent the wheel" horse shit were Kierkegaard compared to these platitudinous fuckwits.

It's so sickening man. Really hope we don't have to put up with another British manager again. Need a break from this nonsense.

  9. He's talking about the defending being an issue like it isn't his fucking responsibility, and blames the struggles to trying to be on the front-foot.

Yes, because every team that goes forward cannot defend. This man is a con artist. This is criminal.

Absolutely! They still should have tried to impress their new bosses, despite Bruce being as useful as tits on a fish!

They were facing a team with a plan and a lot of ability with the ball. So difficult to just go out them and beat a team like Spurs on desire alone.

You can see we kind of started that way , and Spurs adjusted and took control of the game, ad there was no direction for our lot from the sideline, and they just got destroyed.

I hate Bruce but the result would have been the same if Jones was in the dug out. A new manager is going to need to time to sort this mess out.

It had nowt to do with the new owners.

I respect your stance, but I disagree.

It's very clear he has tuned Jones out since jones started getting all the credit for our upturn in fortunes last season.

Also, if Jones had taken this match he would have been on the side-line constantly directing the team, and would have also done so during the break in play.

Think Jones has just left Bruce to it and can't be arsed anymore.

  12. Guys in the studio saying we will be fighting relegation this season. I disagree wholeheartedly.

Any half decent manager will get infinitely more out of this team. Just by making sure they are training regularly will see us improve a ton.

Looking forward to a new man coming in and getting these boys playing even ahead of the window, so that this stupid narrative Bruce has this terrible set of players can be put to bed.

I’d Jack in football for good if they brought that bastard in.

He just took West Brom down from a similar position last season for goodness sake. Just trying to get another of their leech mates in there to syphon money from the club. My God!

Is the girl on the left his daughter?

I think so. She looks like she knows her dad is pissed off too.

It's so unfortunate because they looked so happy before the game started and after the goal. made me actually want the team to win today.

But then Bruce ... knew he was going to ruin everything today. Could have been such a fantastic day man.
