  1. Mike, stop it. The woman is being ridiculous. She cannot demand more respect for the woman's game. The game would get that respect if it earned it.

I personally enjoy watching it, but at the end of the day most people don't rate it as it is so far off the men's game, so it just won't be as entertaining for most football fans.

Having it as the only game on today, would not automatically mean more people would then tune in for it. That is so senseless. People that weren't goign to watch it, just wouldn't. Period.

These people just love complaining. The reason the women's game isn't bigger is because more women don't watch it. It's not men's fault for holding their game back. Get your fellow women to support your game. Guys who watch the men's game and who grow up playing it, are just not going to appreciate the women's game in the same way, for the most part.

    This is so dumb man.

  2. Hmmm ... there was word Wilder may leave Sheffield United due to the ownership issues at the club, which is dragging on in court.

West Brom and an unnamed premier league club were linked a little while back.

  3. Who's making a bid if we have no manager

Ashley is reverting NUFC back to the pre-Rafa model of buying players and giving them to the 'head coach'. Their job is then to make the player impress so the player can then be sold on at a profit. We're back to being a stepping stone club. Do well at NUFC and you'll be sold on to a better club.

Yup. It's a different approach, but it's one that can work if it is done correctly. With a good head coach as the most important factor, one that actually relishes improving these types of players and getting the best out of them.

The team will also then need to continue to re-invest money from players sold on for big profits and it can slowly grow into a deeper more quality squad and team.

Tottenham essentially grew this way. They have Levy though, and we're stuck with Ashley.

We're not doing it the Tottenham way though, we're doing it the Newcastle way. Bid 20m for a 35m player, get knocked back, sign Joselu on deadline day instead.

Ummm ... yeah. That's pretty much what I said in my post.

  5.

You really need to grow up.

That's your point of view and that's fair enough. Stop trying to police other people.

If you can no longer stomach anything to do with the club then don't go on any forums.

The Rafa situation was incredibly unfortunate and painful, and in reality he should never have come to the club, because both he and MA had polar opposite views and ambitions. The whole thing was a disaster. Would have loved him to stay but it's over.

I don't care for MA at all in the slightest and pray he leaves soon, however, in the meantime I can't help but hope we somehow manage to get someone that can give us something worth enjoying. Someone that will be able to get something out of the younger players the owner prefers, as some decent ones have been brought to the club prior to Rafa, but with incapable managers.

I'm hopeful, but not expectant. Please learn to deal with it.

    what a knob

    Very clever. Clap for yourself.

It's astonishing how incapable people are of dealing with a point of view that is not exactly in line with theirs.

Not surprising though. Typical of the nonsense we see all over the place nowadays. Tragic stuff.

KaKa, Your points about me are inaccurate.

I am just "shocked" that any Newcastle United supporter can show so much 'interest' in this exercise. That is all, it really is strange, whether you agree with me or not . . it is!

    Okay, that's fine. Fair enough.

  7. I actually like Martinez. Did an amazing job at Wigan, tries to play good football. Went wrong at the end at Everton but I like him.

I like him too. Still such a young manager that I think should have learned and improved more over the last few years.

It will be very interesting to see what players we can get in midfield and upfront. That is really the key thing.

The defence is already sorted for him for the most part.

This is so depressing to read.

Why is anyone actually 'showing interest' in this process?

It doesn't matter . . . anyone who knows how to say "well we tried to stay up but we just couldn't quite manage it" will do.

It's all pointless, hopeless and a complete waste of time.

  8. Wonder where they intend to play him.

Honestly, if they aren't using him as one of the attacking midfielders off the front man in a 3-4-2-1 I'm not sure he's worth it.

Guess, we'll find out for certain this season. It will be really interesting.

He's the perfect replacement for and improvement on Okazaki playing behind Vardy and do all the dirty work.

What year do you think this is?

Okazaki doesn't play anymore under Rodgers.

    Stop it.
