Hearing that Anthony Hudson was offered a coaching role at Newcastle last week as part of the new staff.

I'm suspicious that this Dean Jones guy knows something, and Anthony Hudson is who they've wanted all along.
Think they have identified him for the 'Head coach' role, and specifically as the person who they believe can work with and coach up the young players they want to bring in.
The idea since has been to then bring in a more senior figurehead to manage things generally as more of a sporting/technical director. Essentially the everyday face with the experience that then provides support to the head coach. Think they wanted Wenger for this role originally, and have now possible settled for Steve Bruce for this sort of role. Think the article below was on the money.

But Newcastle are understood to be looking at the possibility of appointing a young head coach with a more experienced sporting director alongside the new coach. -
Bruce had two of our players on loan last season, one of whom Redfearn was lauding just a few days ago.
That's two less players that have to be replaced.

You cannot then be upset because most men who like football do not watch it either. It is not as relatable to them, because it is quite a different game to the one they grew up playing and the one they watch.

Just sharing what I think might be going on.
In a way it wouldn't be surprising, as I can't imagine any sporting/technical director of decent repute wanting to be involved with MA really.
Probably also explains the early Avram Grant links, which were so weird. But he has filled that director role previously.
God help us.
