Even the man U panel thinks it's a pen FFS.

You hear the VAR reasoning? Not a high enough threshold. Been hearing that more often.

One of the by products of the continued complaints that decisions are taking too long, and that VAR interventions are ruining the game.

And so they started rushing through things and minimising any involvement, and so people can't really complain.

They clearly didn't take a proper enough look at the replays, as it was really just the one angle that showed it properly.

    Oh well.

Here’s near the invisible Anderson. Playing 1 in midfield tonight.

Anderson has had some interchanges down the left with Gordon at least and took on Amrabat on the left. He's at least trying.

Longstaff is so painful man. And it isn't helping Murphy in that right side. Pairing the two of them down that side is just impossible.

Regarding offsides automating it like in Qatar/CL would speed it right up.

It's the subjective decisions that change from ref to ref (or week to week in some cases) that are the issue.

They need to stop this extra 18 minutes of added time malarkey - no wonder players are getting ACLs weekly - their knees must be buckled.

A lot of the time wasting does seem to come from the drawing of those ridiculous lines. And some of the most painful decisions would be ruling out goals wrongly for offside.

Yeah, if they implement automated off sides that would definitely be a huge step.

I suppose then, the other stuff probably could be done without.

Automated goaline and offsides and perhaps live with the rest, could be fine.

That happens already even with VAR, there is a reason why people in the football league continually say that love that VAR isn't being used.

People are way more accepting of an error a referee makes in real time, as they're human, it's a subjective sport and mistakes can happen, and over the course of a season things even out so you just brush it off, but with VAR everything gets analysed 100x over before still getting the wrong decision, it's takes time out the game, people have no idea what's going on that it all becomes a frustrating farce.

It would have been better if they never introduced it in the first place tbh.

Think everyone is just looking at the positives right now.

Yes, they still miss stuff and take too much time over the tighter calls.

However, I think people are really minimising the relief when a glaringly wrong decision has gone against you and it is quickly overturned.

I think with VAR we've gotten used to that and going back to having to deal with those not being corrected is going to be interesting.

    The officials are a disaster.

People only focus on wrong decisions, never ever on the way more correct decisions.

It's so typical really. All the corrected decisions just get forgotten about.

Once this gets scrapped and teams start getting awful, painful and obviously wrong decisions go against them that cannot be reversed, then reality will hit everyone very hard.

Hope this is true and that we can sign him this summer already. Don’t want fucking Ramsdale.

I think the Ramsdale links are more just from the previous Howe connection. Think the price and salary make the deal unrealistic.

The Mamardashvili price seems much more feasible, and looks like he's on pretty low wages - less than 30,000 euros a week.
