    Something about Niall talking to Louis van Gaal's wife tickles me. "Who is it?..... Tell him I'm out."
  3. He was superb the season he was here! Scored a pearler at home to Arsenal too! I had forgot about the Juve goal in the friendly - absolute screamer!
  4. Don't do it to yourself, Paully. It'll be gutting if Caulkin has put this story out with no substance to back it up. Why didn't he just leave well alone ? He's got links to Staveley - there is no way he'd have penned that article without a lot of belief and inside info that this was happening - he always remains quiet on takeovers so it's a huge thing for me this!
  5. In a way it would be a shame that it happened during lockdown, football is in limbo at the minute, makes it a bit harder to celebrate. But still...fuck yeah if it happens. Definitely mate with sadly what's going on in the world. Hopefully it gets announced the day after Lockdown is removed!
  6. Caulkin has completely dragged me right in and I can't wait for the Lockdown Takeover Party! Ashley's last parting shot selling up during this! Surely, this bastard time!
  7. Yep - it was 1-1 too - they went up and got a pen seconds later. If we'd won that we were right in a shout for the League - I'm sure it was Man Utd at home the following weekend when we got humped 6-2?!

  9. So good that. Were some goals and results I'd clean forgotten about, like beating Sheff Utd at home 4-0. Unreal! 92-93!
  10. It would be the most NUFC thing ever for this to go through when nobody can go out to celebrate! Oh, and to then win the FA Cup at a behind-closed-doors Wemberlee!
  11. Not new news but worth a mention at how far we’ve regressed;
  12. He‘s been a breath of fresh air for us and comes across as an extremely likeable fella! More recently, there was the flashpoint at Nice last season when Vieira felt it necessary to go public with his criticisms of Allan Saint-Maximin, the team’s leading scorer. The player, who was subsequently sold to Newcastle, had pulled out of a game at Angers at late notice. “He decided that he was ill, yes,” Vieira said after a 3-0 defeat. “He didn’t have a fever, he didn’t have anything. Well … he wasn’t ill. It was his decision, not the doctor’s or the manager’s.” Saint-Maximin, who was fined, went public with his defence but two months later Vieira made it clear again that he would not tolerate slackers. “Allan’s problem is that sadly he thinks talent is enough to go to the highest level. He needs to understand that he needs to work and make sacrifices. He needs to suffer. And sadly he has not yet understood that.”
  13. It would help fall in line for the 2022 World Cup if next season started say even November / December. Have a break for Euro 2021 then finish that season. Do the same for 21-22, then it’s the stupid winter World Cup and then restart 22-23 in August! A long wait after the World Cup for the following season I know but it’s going to be complicated for that even if that season started in August. There is no need at all to rush this season for me and it has to be concluded!
  14. How did this lot not win a trophy? Criminal :'( :'(
  15. The atmosphere was amazing - it was never the same when it went to 52K and the ground wasn’t enclosed!
