He's been very incosistent in his career, can look like Pele one Game and John Stead the next. Bit like Heskey. Its funny how Lyon have replaced him with another incosistant striker in Baros.

Was anyone in level 7 next to the away fans?
See that Villa fan in the white shirt who ran across cheering like a maniac at the Toon fans not realising the goal didnt stand. mackems.gif

We fell apart after Butt went off.
Still 3 goals and 3 points
-
However for the French striker, I have absolutely no confidence.
Have you just galnced at his goalscoring record?
I was chatting to a few French footy fans about his and they rate pretty highly and say he would be suited to the premiership. He is canny phsyical and has teriffic nack for setting up goals rather then scoring them.
Babels a non starter and out of whats avaliable, Piq looks like a good move for us.

Lucky to beat Watford in thir last game at home (?) and they think that they'll win up here 3-0
-
Who I want and who'll we get will be a million miles apart.
We will sign that french lad if we're lucky - thats it

Crouchs goal was pretty nice.

DE-FENCE! DE-FENCE!

I've always been under the impression that Babel is vastly overrated.
-
Would want Baines, but we very obviously dont have they money.
Piquonne would be great, better for us than Babel.

Phew, my new avatar was beginning to look premature

Babels goal record isnt fantastic either.

His time at Deportivo hasn’t been all positive though. Coloccini cuts a dashing figure charging out of defence with long curly locks flowing but is prone to reckless defending that often leads to bookings.
And thats from the official site

He isn't a striker.
I thought his preferred position was CF but he has been forced to play on the wing/wing forward role because of players like Huntelarr
-
I think you missed the point Dinho.
What i meant was that its inevitable that clubs new signings will bag goals against us, who have made no signings, in the coming weeks. Stick a tenner on Montella to open the scoring next Saturday.
Already got four goals and a couple of assists.
Surely he would have jumped at the chance to come here on loan, if Glenn had had the nouse to recognise a talented and available striker. As he's shown so far at Fulham he would have offered 10x as much as Rossi's dismal contributions.
I think he wanted to live in London for the most part tbh
-
He only has 12 goals in 59 performances
-
Well he's got talent but has been a bit inconsistant at his current club which has a wealth of attacking players. Sounds a bit like the situation with Martins before we bought him.
He gets played out of position alot doesnt he?
-
Yes please

Nobby doesnt live in Jesmond, he lives right next to the training ground more or less.
Where s the training ground exactly?
Benton, near coach lane. One of me mates lives next door to him.

Any news?
Hope its not bad, the midfield just seemed to dissolve when he went off.
