  1. That chicken reminds me of some of Clive Barker's artwork. Good stuff!

    John Carver

I think it's been mentioned a couple of times that Carver was the one responsible for Carroll being allowed to stay on at the Academy all those years ago. If I'm not mistaken it was also his decision to turn him into a striker rather than an LB.
  3. I have it on legit telly, in HD. Just wanted to be an absolute twat and mention that. As do I.
  4. Actually, Drogba was given a chance. Guingamp bought him early 2002 and they were in Ligue 1 at that time. My mistake.
  5. No, but they were playing regularly for top flight clubs. Im not sure, but wasn't Drogba around 24 when he played for Guingamp? Were they in the top flight that season? When 24: Drogba played 21 games for Le Mans in Ligue 2, scoring 5 goals. Bierhoff played 35 games for Ascoli in Serie B, scoring 20 goals. Klose played 31 games for Kaiserslautern in Bundesliga, scoring 16 goals. So going by Colocho's judgement only Klose was worth being given a chance. Age has nothing to do with it. If you're good enough, you're good enough. Simple as that.
  6. Well we could've played Ranger and Xisco and had a combined total of 1 PL goal. 0 this season. Obviously the better choice.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

Must have been Neesy. He was having breakdowns all over the place during the summer transfer window.
  8. Everyone's favourite Twitterer (Cwarr07) is claiming Best is in the starting 11 tonight.
  9. That cancels out the wondersave from Krul. Shouldn't let a goal in from that angle.
  10. So it will be: First team; Pardew Asst. Manager Stone Woodman Reserves; Beardsley Donachie ?
  11. What happens to Beardsley then?
  12. If Barton's punished I think we can expect Tiote to be punished as well. At one point in the first half he was giving his willy a cheerful stroke after being struck on said willy with the ball. We have to put an end to this chauvinist way of living. Women and children might be watching the games FFS.
  13. On the other hand, after 5 years in British climate surely Adebayor would've acclimatised somewhat?
  14. Well, he started his career at the Sunday Sun didn't he? During the KK years. Would've been hard for him not to have fallen for NUFC. He speaks very well of the club and about his time with the players during the 90's. He even had one of the players as his best man. I'd say he's a Newcastle fan first and foremost, but as a North East correspondent on a national paper he's bound to at least pretend he loves all the teams.
  15. Can't really see how tackling someone can be compared to punching them. Would you rather HBA had been punched in the chest instead of tackled? Tackling is clearly more reckless and dangerous. What the fuck has Ben Arfa got to do with it? If you punch someone you get banned, if you tackle someone you may or may not. Tackling is part of the game (which is sometimes carried out badly/recklessly), throwing fists definitely isn't. Seems fairly straight forward. Surely you must have seen the ? Apologies, I was confusing you for one of the people who actually believe what you were saying in jest. No worries mate.

  18. But, but. Joey's the antichrist!
  19. And Trevor Benjamin represented 27 different clubs at senior level.
  20. It is. But he's only been at two clubs permanent. It's not like it's unusual for the big clubs to loan out their players is it? Someone like Richie De Laet has been at 5 different clubs at 21 for example.
