  1. He shouldn't ever start for us again. We all know it, let's not pretend otherwise.
  2. Might have been Chelsea winning 30 out of 38 games as well like, that's some target to try and beat. Well yeah, obviously. That's the reason Chelsea finished with more points, though.
  3. I had this argument with a mate a few weeks back. I think they won 12 out of their last 13 PL games. They finished the season brilliantly. It was an inconsistent autumn that saw them fall short.
  4. Ronaldo

    England

2006 was the best side. Just missing a top keeper and a number 9 really. The rest of the Xl was brilliant. Obviously very unlucky against Portugal.
  5. If ever there was a club and a league perfect for Mitrovic it's Napoli and Serie A, like.
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toe_the_line I know, hilarious, right?! Makes zero sense in relation to Dwight Gayle, like.
  7. To be fair, we knew he was right from the start about that.
  8. I do, might just be me but i really think there's a decent hold the ball up striker in him, not a goal scorer but most definitely someone like Gayle could play off. That's why I think he should go, at least on loan with a view to selling next year if Rafa's still here. Rafa will never play two strikers, and Gayle is the definition of the type Rafa plays up front by himself. He's the total opposite to Mitrovic.
  9. And the she says "Win Rocky Win" and he knocks seven colours of shite out of big sam. I still haven't figured this post out, like.
  10. Stick him as the right CB and make sure Yedlin can cover him when he gets caught out. See, asking Yedlin to do the defensive work of someone else in the PL sounds like a recipe to concede 4 goals a game.
  11. Steady on. He's been on the way down for a while, man. I'd like to think he'd come here with something to prove but it's more likely he'd just be another Celestine Babayaro.
  12. That's not realistic, though. It definitely is realistic to find upgrades on Dummett and Yedlin, much as both of them can do a job.
  13. I'd rather buy two full backs and keep last season's starters for backup.
  14. Odd question. The fact that Semedo's young, without PL experience, more of a ball player and anticipator from the limited occasions I've seen him and what I've heard. Pretty obvious you've got to partner such a player with an experienced leader who can play the stopper role. Hanley and Lascelles I don't want starting for us in the PL and Mbemba's not of that style likely to be sold anyway. That leaves Clark, who as I've said, himself needs said type alongside him if he's to start for us next season.
  15. Yeah, someone like Semedo theoretically replaces Clark in the team. You wouldn't really want them playing together. We absolutely don't have a natural partner for a Semedo type.
  16. We've spent virtually nothing on CBs in the last 15 years, like. I'm not sure how we thought we were gonna get away with it.
  17. Both goals (Jenas, Ameobi) in that 6-2 defeat to Man United were cracking strikes from memory. Nah. Poor back-pass leading to a fairly straightforward finish if memory serves. Laurent Robert at Anfield when we lost 2-1 in 2004 is the best answer to this. Think his one at Everton the season before is an even better one. Decent shout. Fucking robbery of a game that was.

  19. Probably worth mentioning they scored the same number of league goals despite Gayle not having pens and playing 1300 fewer minutes. I do hope we sign him as our backup but if you're expecting him to be a more physical upgrade on Gayle as our main striker you'll be disappointed. In time he'll be an absolute fucking beast of player, mind.
  20. I was responding to Shak's point about him fancying his chances for the starting spot over Gayle. Think it was pretty obvious that's what I meant, too. Love to know how playing 2 games a week is less demanding, mind.
  21. Abraham has a lot going for him and is very well suited to our system, but I can tell you now he's way behind Gayle in terms of touch and the intelligence of his movement. As it stands Gayle is the better bet by far.
