  1. Our squad players are worse than any bar Blackpool.
  2. Let's hope so, can't stand them. Look at the wonderful trend they started.
  3. What Coloccini did was marginally closer to thuggish defending than outright assault. We all know what the Barton incident was.
  4. Ronaldo

    Vuckic

Based on? I think Airey especially has looked very good in the reserves, he's fast and good with the ball at his feet(reminds me of Beardsley). Vuckic looks like he could play along side anyone but, the better option would to play him in a 433 type formation because he has a good footballing brain and can see that little slide rule pass that splits a defence. You see, people? Asked and answered.
  5. You're seeing things, there was nothing whatsoever from Pederson.
  6. Rubbish. There was no shoulder barge.
  7. I think the heat of the moment arguement applies far, far more to Colo's case. He wasn't the only one of our lot who should/could have been sent off yesterday. The entire team we're losing their heads. Coloccini was just stupid enough to do it 3 feet from the linesman.
  8. Heat of the moment stuff? It was 1-1 and MGP wasn't running at him with the ball. Terrible excuse for a wind-up.
  9. Barton punched someone without provocation for a laugh, mate. Punching someone in the chest is nowhere near as cowardly an act as elbowing them in the face as the run alongside you. Eh? That has absolutely no relevance whatsoever to what i've just said. It's about as relevant as your comment in response to what Nixon said. Which is easier to understand, seriously? 'Understandable' is the word he used. We all know why Coloccini elbowed Elmander, his opponent got the better of him and he cowardly lashed out to avoid being beaten again. None of us have a clue why Barton decided to punch MGP. It could have been boredom, for all we know.
  10. Too right. But it's hardly less understandable that punching someone without provoacation when the play is stopped.

  13. Given that creativity at home against defensive sides is arguably our weakness, he certainly isn't the least of our problems.
  14. Drogba won't be fully fit for a while.
  15. That's funny, because you write most of it.
  16. He just needs to be reminded to hoof it. He exercised very poor judgement in trying to go shoulder-to-shoulder with Elmander.
  17. That's what PMs are for, but I agree with most of what JH has said. There's certainly a prevailing attitude on here that attaches huge significance to 1-0 wins, but sticks it head firmly in the wet sand of low expectations when we perform terribly and lose.
  18. Another misrepresentation of what I said. I was referring to a selection of results, not all of them. A few of our results are very misleading. Being objective about it, and to give an example; you know teams like Blackburn will climb and stay safe through picking up points at home against lower-tier clubs. They've done it for years. Which results are miseading? The 5-1 v Sunderland or 5 v 1 Bolton? The 2-1 against Blackpool or 1-0 v Arsenal? The 1-0 v Everton or 2-1 v Stoke? Keep going and you'll eventually see an imbalance.
  19. For the record, I stand by my pre-season prediction of 17th, but I do think something will have to change for us to survive. Either Hughton or his way of thinking.
