Barry can cover LB, my guess is that they'll take a 5th striker instead.
-
Wrong again.
-
This board would be a lot more fun if someone ever presented a decent arguement as to how i'm wrong instead. That's it Dave, score some more easy points, pathetic.
-
Sidetracking? We blatantly need a new striker and that's why we've enquired about at least 5 this month. Until we get that striker, this month hasn't been a complete success. That's all i'm saying.

No, i've parachuting in since the age of 7.
-
Never said they were. Did you see those games btw? We missed plenty of good chances in each.

I hope that one day you will sit up in realisation, or look back when a similar subject is brought up and think to yourself 'how on earth could I have had these views?' Otherwise I worry about your opinion and attitudes towards the more important things in life. I hope you don't get them as wrong. Views? They're facts man, wake up. -
Of course we do, but it's cooler to pretend that our current fit strikers have loads of goals and we'll rape the league with them.

Shola is 28. He also has 7 goals in 9 league games, compared to Carroll's 4 in 20. -
Among the games that we dropped points in, we created plenty chances against Bristol City, Derby and Nottingham Forest. Poor finishing let us down and it will again and again.

Carroll's only real strength is that he can be effective in a long ball system imo. Play the ball on the deck and he's fairly obsolete. -

With a proper RW in front of him he'll be fine. -
Is that your 'educated' opinion? Not really, it's the opinion of those who've seen us piss away point after point against teams with sunday league defences. Take away the injured Shola, and our remaining 3 strikers have 9 league goals between them.
-
It should have been pretty obvious that I meant a new striker.

Kadar was terrible at RB on wednesday, looked Ok at LB though. -
Two of those aren't up to it at this level yet in terms of goals, one is injured far too often and the other is fairly inconsistent. We need another and until we get one, this window hasn't been the complete success lots would like to depict it as. Btw, had Derry not scored that ridiculous OG on Wednesday, we probably wouldn't have won that game and the mood on here would be significantly different.

As insightful as ever.

Kadar ahead of Taylor? -
A great window? We're on the 29th of January approaching a big game away to a promotional rival and we're still without a striker.

Bacon sandwiches for David Craig again.

And you're playing the worst LW i've ever seen at the club (and our best fit striker) on the LW. -

I don't really think either are goal threats, but Carroll must have started 4 times more games than Ranger. I think it's pretty obvious which one has the potential to be a number 9 for us, he should be getting the nod out of the two of them. -
a central midfielder? That isn't really a priority till we go up. 2 out of Barton, Guthrie, Nolan and Smith should see us right till the end of this season. As long as it isn't the latter two starting together.

With Jose & Taylor getting knackerd meant CH took his eye off getting in a striker. Did Boyd ever join Villa? That's hardly an excuse, those two have only been ruled out in the last week or so.
