We have enough young players to gamble with.
-
Bassong also had a few terrible games AND had exactly the same trouble Colo had because of the invisible midfield. Namely players running at him, Bassong though either outpaced them or pulled them to the ground.

Another chance in the Premier League with this guy? Didn't we learn anything.. and i simply don't buy this 'no protection from midfield nonsense' as Bassong in his first year in England was very comfortable in the vast majority of games here... whilst the Argentine international .. well just look at his Liverpool home performance. Couldn't give a f***. Do you think Taylor should be given another chance. Chance number 6 in the premier league to be exact?

Can't believe that comment like, as much as I appreciate the article as a whole. Cowardice is pushing a fan when he's being restrained by 2 stewards.
-
Cahill is a very competent player with the ball at his feet, he's a lot classier than you'd think.
-
Mate, Robert had the fans divided by March in his first season. He got a dog's abuse during and on the bus back from the Liverpool (0-3) game at Anfield.
-
Boyd isn't ideal either, as i've said. Still think he'd score more than Beckford though.
-
Justin Hoyte in the Metro Centre 2 hours back. A lot shorter than me, which I didn't expect.

I really don't think he'll be horseshit at all. If he signs and plays every game until May, he should get us around 10 goals. The problems I see are: a) He won't cut it in the premiership. b) He relies heavily on the players around him to be effective, our style of play and lack of creativity in the final third aren't ideal for this type of player. c) He isn't the type to graft his bollocks off, he's very much the type who carefully uses his energy and positioning. For the latter reason in particular he's unlikely to be a popular player at SJP, after the initial new player honeymoon period.

Gary Cahill is about as different from Taylor as you can get, what a terrible analysis.
-
Tell that to Peterbrough and Scunthorpe.

I think Burnley will just stay up but it'll go down to the wire. I'd also like Wigan to go down, a club like that belongs in League 1.
-
Hulll, Bolton and Burnley.

Seems with hindsight to be the common view. One or two like myself where slaughtered for saying similar at the time. Threads would go to f*** knows how many pages and just about every post was confirming what a c*** Bellamy was. Some of the Bellamy threads were unbelievable. Divided the fans more than any other recent player, I think. Aye. Robert also divided the fans.
-
Actually, Coloccini was one of the first, if not the first to come over and applaud. He was probably one of the first to leave the pitch though.
-
Aye I was half-joking. I know it was shortly before the Ipswich game in late September and I also realise how little of an impact Harewood's made in terms of winning us points. I didn't think we'd get relegated tbh, but those were smashing odds for a team that I thought would lose its central defence and struggle to score goals.
-
Assuming you're only talking about players who left in the summer, Duff and Bassong are doing very well.
-
Maybe you should stop telling people like Skirge to pour water over their heads and admit you're just as clueless as you think the rest of us to be. We got Harewood. And tbh at the point I was certain we'd lose one of either Taylor or Coloccini. They're the reason we're not in the bottom half of the table.

Very nice shirt by Adam there.
-
Until 18 months later when he stripped right in front of me.
-
It'd be worth it if they took Nicky Butt.
-
That's just the point, he guarentees nothing. I THINK he'll get 10 goals should he start 20 games for us, whereas I KNOW Harewood will do the same.
-
It'll be quite funny seeing Hughton manage in the prem given that he's about the worst manager in the championship.
-
Nah, technique was absolutely perfect for the 2nd, he put the ball exactly where he wanted it. Also gets extra points for being right in front of me at the Gallowgate.
