  1. Lampard got one goal more, massive. Rooney did well to get 4 in two games against average sides & has done nothing else. Owen scored against portugal the side which ended up putting us out. If you're going to get goals in tournaments, not bad to get them against the harder sides. Regardless, that wasnt the only tournament post world cup 98 which is what your arguments based on. Lampard got 2 more I dont want to get personal but you're a laughable joker when on about Owen. 4 goals in 4 tournaments from a supposed 'out n out goalscorer' is a laughable return and you know it.
  2. Beckham and his army of superfans please fuck off
  3. Rooney and Lampard comfortably outscored him in 2004 mate. But ah yes the old 'he didn't score so he the rest of the team must be shite' argument again.....
  4. He scored 1 in 4 during Euro 2000 and 2 in 5 during WC 2002 my point stands, he was f***ing s**** in those tournaments. And lets not even talk about the other 2.
  5. Nope. Quite a difference between how good Shearer was then though and Owen now. Indeed, while on his England drought he was still scoring 30+ for Blackburn Not disputing that. But as a 4th choice striker, I'd take Owen over the likes of Crouch, Heskey, C.Cole every time. they're all clearly better players and easily better partners for Rooney in the even of an injury
  6. And completely shit in all of them. But hey, 7 years past his prime lets stick him in there, for a laugh.
  7. Yep, even Owen managed it He also managed it against the top countries. (Germany, Argentina, Brazil...) Aye. Barring '98 in a couple of games he was normally absolutely horrific for England in the major tournaments. (I am aware his goal against Brazil was in the quarter final of the World Cup) Said it before on here, but it's ignored. His reputation is an absolute f***ing sham. Give over man. Top class player until we signed him. A good goalscorer, never a top class player in a million years post 2002 4 goals in 3 major tournaments following 1998 isnt that disasterous tbh considering how the rest of our side played. Or how anyone else has done for us in that time either. He actually tended to score against the better sides in major tournaments. stop it, please. And it's 4 tournaments tbh
  8. To be fair, Terry was immaculate during WC06
  9. £3 on Lampard next scorer at 5/1

  14. Crouch is better than Romario
  15. Ronaldo

    Finisher

probably the second best finisher ever
  16. We had Taylor and Coloccini in the defence that day. And Cardiff missed two clear cut chances and should have had a penalty
  17. draws are the only way to make money today lads, choose 5 and throw a quid on
  18. He did very well against Leicester to be fair, and they've got a f***ing massive centre forward. who's also absolutely useless and spent the game tussling with Smith, not Simpson
  19. Commanding his area hasn't been a problem at all. No conicidence it went to shit at the back with him out of the team.
  20. He did OK against Leicester but was bloody hopeless against Huddersfield. Coloccini has to make it or we're screwed, basically.
  21. For the first few games they may have been. After the Arsenal game he did well imo
  22. The difference being, Harper didn't look shite in the premiership and Carson most certainly did
